    We have a date - July 6th!

Wales has been told to prepare for reopening on the 13th but it will be confirmed on the 9th July review. I think this will be the date for reopening unless something drastic happens.

    Weekends off?

You only get one life, don't regret not getting time with your family and friends. If your weekend clients are family and friends then they should understand, they'll have to find time in the week like everyone else if they want you to cut their hair. :)

Can you claim for client gifts?

Reading some of those guidelines, if you got some candles branded up with your business details on them, that would come under the 'conspicuous advertising'

    MD: Crystal Clear Mini

skinbase give you 2 weeks with it free and then if you're happy you just keep it on the pay per use option they do or you can buy it too I think? xx

    New radio frequency machine

Ask to be put in touch with a salon/clinic using their machine. I sometimes think companies will tell you anything (especially sales reps) but I would trust a fellow therapist to give me an unbiased opinion! Just an idea :)

    Facials advice

Eve Taylor are a really great and affordable brand. Definitely worth taking a look at :) Do like a Kaeso calming face mask though, great after microderm treatments!

    Skin testing by post

I'm pretty sure I read something recently about this where it wouldn't stand up with your insurance if she had done the patch test herself and there was a problem.

    The power of gift cards?

They don't get any discount on the voucher when they buy it, I just make them aware that they will receive an extra 20% on the value if they use it during Jan/Feb as these are usually slow months where we have lots of gaps, I don't want them using the vouchers later in the year when we're booked...

    Salon brands selling out

A lot of salons are rubbish at selling retail, my hairdresser wouldn't even sell me some serum when I asked about it, told me to use a tiny bit of conditioner for my flyaways, would love to know what her retail brand would think of that! I get why people are angry but if they aren't shifting the...

Help with facial start up please

What would you recommend for exfoliation Lynne, my clients love their microderm treatments, it's been around a long time but so have a lot of other treatments, what makes you say it is outdated??

Help with facial start up please

Eve Taylor are great, I personally feel Dermalogica is expensive for a brand that have strayed away from being a professional only brand which I don't agree with. I don't do Caci but have heard many people say that it brings in new clients as it is such a well known brand with some great...

    Mini facials

Kaeso calming range definitely a great option to start with, they do a lovely mask. Best of luck, fab way to get you back into it. £15 each sounds reasonable but keep it short but sweet!

Qualification upgrade, what to do next?

What about a microblading course? A good return on something like that so good for business. It seems to be a popular treatment and there are plenty of bad eyebrows out there still! Do you do much makeup? Have you got a portfolio of your work?
