    Why not Bluesky?

It is, I only saw it later. I just saw the comment somebody made about animal testing in China and commented straight away without finishing the thread. I was really shocked by the products that are sold in China but manufactured else were and therefor tested on animals. They are high end...

    Why not Bluesky?

I have never used it but just wanted to clarify a point about animal testing. Somebody said that it is definitely tested on animals because it is produced in China but that is not necessarily true. By their law any product sold in China that is not manufactured there has to be tested on animals...

    Sterilisation?

You can sterilise using a pressure cooker, it uses heat and pressure the same as an autoclave. My degree is in microbiology and this is what we used often in the labs at uni as they are cheaper than autoclaves. There is no need for the nail equipment to be sterile and as soon as it is removed...

Advice please, what is wrong with this nail?

Hi, I'm pretty new to nails and would appreciate some advise. I feel like my hard gel application is improving each time I do it but sometimes I get a shape I'm not happy with but I not sure why. The pictures below show one of my own nails that I did 8 days ago, I feel like it's a funny shape, I...

Scared to get started with nails!

I'm the same! I work full time and love my job but wanted to go part time and do nails part time so I could spend more time with my kids and do the school run etc. I feel fairly confident in gel polish but it's not perfect and I don't want to offer it until it is. I've also trained in acrylic...

    First set of gel nails

Thank you! I do get carried away with the file, I will check my file is dead straight next time. So is my apex too high up? I was trying to get the bulk of it over the join between tip and nail. Thank you for your advise I really appreciate it! x

    First set of gel nails

No I've only tried NSI. I found it so difficult, I think it's because I'm still really slow and you have hardly any time to work with the acrylic. I will look in to the CJP. It's really nice trying something new, I bet you'll love it. Thanks!

    First set of gel nails

Aw thanks HannahKate, that's really kind. I did acrylics a few days ago and my first attempt looked awful, unfortunately they are on my mum do I have to keep on looking at them! I really enjoyed the UV gel though. I couldn't charge yet because they take me so long, I'm going to do a few more...

    First set of gel nails

I've done my first set of gel extensions today with my trainer. I found it so much easier that the acrylics. I've posted a picture and would be really grateful of any feedback. I don't feel at the moment that I will ever have the confidence to charge anyone but I really loved learning it and am...
