    Numbing cream

I was reading about these yesterday, these creams can only be bought from a pharmacy so it would be the clients responsibility to source this if they wanted it (but it's probably not advisable incase of a reaction after treatment). The spray can actually have adverse affects so your insurance...

    Paraffin wax: hand/foot nourish

When i first read this I thought you meant you were going to take it off the clients hands or feet and put it back in the pot lol. Do you mean how many times can you heat the same wax? I would just buy pellets and melt fresh every time

    Hive roller wax advice please

I used to use this because I was mobile and I had a heater that had 4 or more slots. The heads have a no return valve as far as I remember so I would bin the head and keep the rest of the wax in the cartridge. For eyebrows I just dipped a fresh wooden spatula down the neck of the bottle. I...

    Stripless eyebrow wax

I haven't done waxing in ages but I want to start just for eyebrow shaping. I've seen clips online of people using a stripless eyebrow wax, it looks like hot wax but obviously your not supposed to use this on the face. Contacted lycon thinking it was lycojet but they want me to invest heavily in...

Waxing - talcum powder, yes or no?

I was told to use the talc, it protects the skin, can't see how it would cause clogged pores or ingrowns personally seeing as it's just a fine dusting on the surface for a few minutes

    Nail hardener?

I've not really heard of base hardeners tbh, normally its just soak off builder gel, hard gel, acrylic or extra top coat. If you're happy with the colours you have already then why not go for one of those. Or try dip nails.

    How valuable is footfall?

Hi, I'm considering relocating to just across the road from where I am but there will be less footfall. It's still a busy built up area though. The move would give me more space to offer more treatments .. trying to weigh it up.

I might rent a chair out in the future but let the hairdresser manage their own stock. How much would they pay for chair rental alone?

Hairdressing heads for beginners and practicing?

Hiya thanks for both of your replies. I signed up for the istudy course, it was £8.99 and I expect it to be worth about as much, it's just for a bit of fun really. I hadn't heard of that website so thank you for recommending I'll definitely have a look

    Acrylic nail starter?

Hi again. Personally I like round kolinsky brushes and size 8 is good for beginners but a lot of people do prefer oval brushes so you'll have to have a play around. I'm glad you've taken the plunge and booked your courses Don't be nervous, everyone struggles to start with they may not admit it...
