    How to deal with dust?

Ok folks, quick update as it's arrived now. I've plugged it in and turned it on to check it works. It is definitely loud and you can feel suction but I haven't tested dust etc with my efile yet as I've not had time. Will let you know how i'm getting on later or tomorrow, leave it with me.

    How to deal with dust?

I've just purchased a tabletop one yesterday because of this same issue. It's not going to be amazing and I know that but I do think something is better than nothing and I'll upgrade when I've got a more permanent space. It should come in a day or two but I can let you know how I get on with it...

Having trouble with The Gel Bottle

I'm loving TGB and have no issues with rose gold. Is it potentially a curing issue? You mention you're trying a few brands but are you using the correct lamps? I believe it needs to be at least 48w for TGB.

    The Gel Bottle Inc distributors?

Hello love, they definitely do as i'm near Leicester and I have them delivered. I can only suggest you double check 'UK' is selected on your address for country. Other than that it could be an internet browser issue, maybe try an alternative browser to see if it helps? If that doesn't work I'd...

    Acrylic nails

Get a practise hand off ebay and literally just keep following the method and try, try again that's what I'm doing. I keep going through my course materials and get each step better before I move on. Videos are great but make sure they are helping and not helping you pick up bad habits so ensure...

    Students opinions home salons

As with the others I'm a student now and this wouldn't bother me at all as I'd be there to learn and sometimes people can feel more relaxed learning in that kind of environment to be fair. As long as everything is clean, presentable and functional where you will be teaching (along with the...

Complete newbie, things you wish you'd known when starting out?

The gel bottle, I wanted something with a lot of scope, development and education but still vegan friendly and cruelty free. Everyone here is still doing OPI, CND etc and the more classic gel polish brands. There's nothing wrong with that obviously but since I'm starting from scratch I have the...

Complete newbie, things you wish you'd known when starting out?

Hahaha! Definitely Alison, I agree on so many points you've raised. My course only covers certain things so I'm taking additional courses in gel polish, advanced sculpting, efile and quick dip as well as branded conversion courses. For my area, many seem to not have efile or extension training...

Complete newbie, things you wish you'd known when starting out?

Really good, I had Katy yesterday and I've got Yvonne today. Finding a lot of the tips and tricks very helpful even when I'm only on day 2, I've already learnt a lot in the time I feel :)

Complete newbie, things you wish you'd known when starting out?

The flexibility is one of the main reasons I chose them and I'm really happy I did. I like the freedom it gives me to learn at my own pace around other commitments which is really appealing for an NVQ!

Complete newbie, things you wish you'd known when starting out?

Hahaha it's so easy to get caught up in it all! I'll no doubt dabble and experimental down the line I'm sure but for now getting to grips with the basics are enough to sink my teeth into for a good while. Had my initial manicure/pedicure lesson today, really enjoyed myself even though it's a lot...

Complete newbie, things you wish you'd known when starting out?

Thanks JCH. From the threads I've read it seems to be fairly common that sometimes you feel like you are going backwards sometimes but to continue to persevere until you have a bit of a breakthrough. I've saved a few as inspiration for if I get a little frustrated at myself!

Complete newbie, things you wish you'd known when starting out?

Thank you Trinity, i will definitely take note. Completely agree on the nail art pretties vs training, its very easy to get carried away as there are so many different things out there but for now its not even on my radar. The main focus for me is training and technique, so i'm just going to...

Complete newbie, things you wish you'd known when starting out?

Hi geeks! This is my first thread as i finally just joined today (after a few email complications) so i wondered if i could ask for a little advice please? I've been browsing the forums for weeks and there are so many of you out there with years of experience/training. It's been so helpful for...
