I tried that on a client & she hated it cos you can’t get it all by picking them out. I’d do Platinum Card which is back to back highlights then waiting till it nearly light enough before applying to the roots (leave the foils on)...we tried this today & it was amazing. More control

A great way of saying it to them is that’s its not how you do it like “this isn’t the way I do it, I have a different technique but if you aren’t happy to proceed with it I’m not willing to damage your hair further sorry”
