NSI Illusion gel ~ help please

Your top gloss will not cure over a polish. If you need to use polish I would advise to use it at the end, over top of your gel enhancement. As far as your colour gel coming off when you wipe, there should be no need to remove the tacky layer before applying your top gloss. Steps for using...

Primer: Acid vs Non-Acid what's the difference?

Acid based primers ~ Their molecule has 2 arms, one develops a hydrogen bond that bonds to the keratin of the natural nail, the other arm undergoes a chemical reaction that develops a covalent bond, linking the primer to the nail enhancement. Acid Free primers ~ Their molecule has arms that...

I did her nails last year when she came over for a holiday and she loved them. I know there are great techs out there that use other brands, but she wants exactly the same as what I did on her, which was NSI Attraction full sculptured liquid and powder. I'm hoping someone can help me out...

What do you expect from your education?

I agree with what everyone else has posted. In a perfect world there would be an international standard, but since we don't live in that world the best we can do is continue to learn. I really don't think that everything to do with nails can be taught in one course. I believe that most classes...

    Question for NSI techs.

If you are using spa liquid it can be used with the attraction powders and the classic. The yellowing can be caused from working your product too wet. Spa needs to be used drier than attraction or universal liquid. check your ratio.

    Mix-ratio question

All L&P systems have a recommended mix ratio so it's hard to have a general discription for all. However when you remove your brush from the powder look at it and make sure that all the powder is absorbed before you place your bead. If you look at the bead and there is powder lingering around...

Dist'r doesn't know what acid & non acid primer is...

I know here in my city that if you are dealing with the big distributors like Cosmo prof, good luck getting a questions answered the girls that work there don't even have a back ground in the beauty industry (even the hair stylists complain that they don't know anything) If you can deal with the...

A few questions about odorless monomer

With NSI Spa when you are finished applying wipe the nails with acetone this will get rid of the "roll off" and it will file like a traditional acrylic. Most lines do have the roll off. The easiest way to explain it is you have to give up something to get something. So to achieve odorless you...

Can you top coat nail enamel with Glaze n Go?

Glaze N' Go is not to be used over polish it is designed to work over L&P and gel. Try NSI Airshield or Thermoshield they are both very good top coats for polish.

    Acrylic turning yellow

Nail products have a shelf life, once they are opened the liquid should be used within 6 months and powder within a year. If it is unopened than you should be ok, depending of course on how long you have had it....if it's been years, I'd toss it.

    Nouveau Nail System

I'm sorry but your response comes across rude. You may have seen a million posts like this over the years, and yes you are right that other companys that create a cheaper lower quality product will claim to be "The same" or "better" than some of the more well known brands. But with that being...

When applying your first layer of gel make sure that it is applied thin, applying your first coat too thick can cause lifting problems. If possible see if you can get a copy of NSI Beyond the Basics DVD this is an amazing DVD and will help you in many areas. Hope this helps
