    Digital consultation forms

Sorry - didn't see this till now! I actually enter treatment notes in the "Appointment Notes" or "Client Notes" section of my scheduler. Depends on whether it's a one-off or something I need to consult at every appt :)

    Digital consultation forms

I use JotForm! It's simple :) I actually use Fresha too. They told me that they're going to release consultation forms soon, so I'm waiting for that! For now I just make sure that I keep track of whether the client has completed the JotForm in the client notes.

    iSalon holding onto my data

Ugh, how awful! Just goes to show that they're hiding all of the legalities in the fine print that no one has time to read or understand. So sorry this is happening to you. Please update us on whether you're able to get your info. If all else fails, can you screenshot your data? I'm sure it'll...

Do clients really want mobile services?

I have a little at-home salon, but I travel to a nearby neighborhood - only take mobile bookings one day a week, so everything is organized and I'm not wasting money on gas. I'm always up for some tips though!

    Clients after Covid-19

Not a fan of how that article made it sound like we WANT to cut out "the little luxuries". Not like we have a choice... I'm not buying anything that's not required. More people have already contracted the virus than we thought would, and most are asymptomatic, as someone already mentioned above...

    Booking app advice

I'm a sucker for good software. Mostly cause I hate all of the old, clunky stuff. I use Fresha :) Just upgraded to Plus, but I was using the free version for a while, so you can do that too. Online bookings are part of the upgrade. I didn't used to want my clients to book themselves in, but...

    Mobile PPE & money

I use this recipe I found online: https://cleanmama.com/diy-disinfecting-spray-cleaner/#:~:text=1%201%2F4%20cups%20water,are%20great%20in%20this%20recipe Normally, I would use the exact measurements she shared, but with everything going on, I make sure to add some extra alcohol. Hope that helps!

    Any brow waxing tips?

I always make sure the skin and hairs are clean and dry. I find the eyebrow area is very sensitive and I don't like going over it more than once. If you can keep the skin more taut (gently, of course) that also helps. If you're having trouble, maybe you can shadow someone's work that you admire...

    Client complaint

So sorry to hear this is happening to you! How awful! Agree with the comment about saving all of the messages she's sent, all of the evidence, keep neatly organized in a file that you can refer to if needed. And if she does end up bashing you all over social media, always stay professional...

    Mobile PPE & money

I take clients at home, but sometimes go to theirs... A mask, as necessary by gov't regulations. I'm asking them to wear their own mask as well. Single use latex/nonlatex gloves (which makes me so sad, I hate the waste, but what can you do?!). And I also have a spray bottle of a DIY...

    Cardless payments?

Do you use Paypal in a salon? Is there a way to accept payment without the client logging in every time?

    Cardless payments?

Thanks alanaabdn :) Sumup looks pretty sleek. I was hoping for something even without a terminal? Like paypal but you don't have to login every time you want to pay Thanks Decadence Salon :) I'll def take a look into it... how long is the contract? I'm not a fan of signing up and signing my...

    Cardless payments?

Hey everyone! I'm wondering if you have any experience with some sort of contactless payment solution? I'm looking to start offering my treatments again, but I don't want to be touching those gross credit card or (God forbid) cash. Ideas?

No make up for over a month

I like to wear makeup in phases - for example, every day for two weeks, and then nothing for two weeks. It's not a dramatic difference in aesthetic, cause I do a "no-makeup" look, and my products are always as clean and natural as I can find :) Highly recommend it!

    Lash extensions advice

Just to play devil's advocate here, it could be possible that staying inside and staring at screens all day/an accummulation of dust in the home has irritated her eyes as well

    Hot stones vs rose quartz

Following. I'd love to know more about this, especially cause different stones are so trendy right now. I think it would really bring in younger customers
