    Gel with French tips-problems

I personally wouldn't think it had anything to do with using a french tip instead of natural? Tips are not there for strength anyway, just length & shape. The strength is the bond between the nat. nail & product so the more nat.nail exposed to product the better the bond. Maybe they were...

    nail files

240 grit or higher for natural nails. Personally I don't think it matters which make as they are all the same grit but that just might be me! Some files you can't sanitise so you either have to throw them away or give them to your client. But I scrub mine with antibac soap, leave to dry then...

    Gel with French tips-problems

Akzentz do a clear soak off gel called Options which is great - doesn't yellow or discolour, is strong, self levels & is very shiny! They don't do coloured gels as yet but you could use it for your clears? Call Karen at Nails Plus Beauty on 01273 677993, they do a small pot for about £10 which...

    Gel with French tips-problems

Hi there, As Alex said you do not need to blend white tips but with need to remove the shine from them. If you are using a product that discolours or yellows I would consider whether to continue using it personally. A good quality gel should not yellow or discolour (I use Young Nails &...

    Using Rhinestones with Gel

Hi there, I do them last after I have applied, cured & shaped my builder gel, I then put a coat of thin self leveling gel, place the rhinestone in that & cure then put another thin coat over the top & cure. They last until they grow out this way! Good luck!

    White marks?

Thanks for all your replies, I'm glad I know what it is now! I take it it is still ok to wear enhancements? Not that I do often! Mr Geek - how long does PL last? I know it's not that as it doesn't disappear, (until products are removed) but I was just wondering, thanks.

    White marks?

Marian - This time I didn't use gel I used an Backscratchers dip system, does this still shrink? But I wouldn't say my nails are thin? Geek - Sometimes it fades down a bit but never really goes?

    White marks?

Hi, thanks for your post but it is def not pocket lifting, the mark is def on my natural nail. (I use gel by the way). And I never use tips so it's not that. It's kinda like a mark caused by pressure but it happens even if I haven't used forms???

    White marks?

Why is it that whenever I apply an overlay to myself (with or without forms & with any system) I get this white mark under my smile line??? I say overlay but it prob still happens when it's a sculpt but as I do permanent french I just can't can't see it. If you push the ball of your finger...
