In the current situation you may be better of at least starting with friends and family to practice, but if you feel like you need or want some refresher courses you could totally go for that too :)
I've been wanting to do some more hair courses lately but it's looking more and more difficult...
Thank you :)
Oh, I forgot a bit of 10/81 in the main mix as well 😂 (Just checked my notes)
I'm sure that all except her roots are level 10, her roots are a 7 or 8. The 7/81 went over her roots beautifully with less brass showing than the rest...
I hope it will be okay this time and not fall...
Okay, so, I pre-toned with a mix of equal parts 8/69 + 10/69 and a dash of Chrome Olive and Silver Mauve.
I then used 7/81 on the roots melted into 8/69 + 10/96 + dashes of Chrome Olive, Silver Mauve and Platinum Lily.
It definitely looks better than before but there's still some brassy tones...
I will always strand test :)
But I'm always worried about not sticking to the brand when trying to remove colour, so I suppose what I'm wondering is if there's a more universal remover or does it not matter?
Fair point, I lifted my clients to the required blonde, but when I used the 4% on one client (forgot that sorry) the copper didn't come through as nicely and had washed out a week later.
The first client I used 6% all round because her hair looked healthy enough to take it after bleaching and...
Ah yes, sorry! I used 6% for all and they were Koleston Perfect shades.
Wella have a shade chart app which includes the Koleston Perfect and the Illumina Color shades. Hopefully they'll be adding the Color Touch soon!
I have recently done two coppers!
I used 6/73 for my clients roots (both a natural level 6) and 8/34 for the mids & ends. One wanted more red/deep tones so I mixed 0/43 into the 8/34 and the other wanted more brighter copper tones so I mixed in 0/33.
Hope this helps
Okay, I get that. Thanks :)
I did mix some of their pearlescent Illumina into the mix as well but I guess it didn't help.
So can I not pre-tone with Illumina Color? I'd like to avoid buying a whole new developer and colour if I can help it. Buying a new shade or two is okay but I can't...
I used 8/69 for the root area and 10/69 for the mids. Natural level is around a 7/8 and the rest has been previously bleached to a level 10...
I understand that the 6% will open the hair more, but I need that grey to stick! :(
I tried the lower developer and that didn't work...
This is why...
I'm a little worried about my last client.
She wanted grey/silver into teal ends.
The teal has taken well but the grey was only okay on day one.
After a couple of washes, one with purple shampoo, it's brought more yellow through!?
I'm going over the grey next week but I'm worried the same...
I want to use Wella grey for the roots & mids but blend Matrix teal in from the ends... Will this be an issue using the Matrix tone-on-tone (uses 10vol developer) and Wella using their own developer?
I'm a bit worried about the blend. Should I do the grey, wash out, then do the teal ends and...
