So I’ve been working at a salon for 3 years employed and have been thinking of going self employed….at the salon staff is a mix of both employed and self employed.
I asked one of the self employed how it works out for her and she explained she gets £9 hr for what she works and if she hits over...
I did a training course with hi brow for brow lamination. I have my certificate, with this qualification does this mean I can go and buy another brand/system because I know the theory behind it and procedure behind it?
Does anyone know the difference between these 2 brands ? From looking at lash fx it’s a sister brand of lash perfect and when looking at courses on the lash fx website it took me to lash perfect training academy…..there’s a bit of a price difference in the courses which makes me wonder what’s...
a girl on my acrylic course told me to check out this brand saying its like glitter bels but slightly cheaper but I've never heard of it...has anyone tried this brand? is it professional?
thank you so much, so from what you said or I presume - apply base and x2 colour like a normal polish and cap/seal the top coat?
I've just checked out the 5 point method on a few videos its says seal/cap the colour and on some it doesn't show that
Yes everything is CND. So you don’t cap anything? Not even the base or top coat? Sorry. I’m so confused now, I always thought you had to cap the layers like a normal gel polish.
So I’ve been using shellac on my clients and on one lady it started wrinkling however I felt like it was applied thick. But I’m new to shellac as the salon used to use gelish
Are you supposed to cap every layer?
how many coats do you reccomend?
If any of you are experts in shellac I’d
ah okay thankyou, will see if that happens when I place an order....I think im completely sold looking at the brand more and reading reviews. going to try the gel kit where you get the lamp and polishes - can't wait to try. thanks for recommending
thankyou so much for that. Im so tempted now as I've looked at their colour range. however when I added things to my basket and went to checkout to see if I could buy there's nothing about proving my qualification which I though was odd. I just created an account and nothing was mentioned...
Okay thank you, I did look at cjp but thought the packaging of the brand looked a little cheap compared to brands like shellac. so wasn't sure if it was a good brand or not. perhaps I need to look into it again. do you need to prove your qualified to buy from them?
I just came across an add on facebook, presume its non professional so going to avoid it.
what professional brands do you recommend that I can look up? I have ink London atm - do you like?
does anyone know if there will be any beauty/nail shows going on this year? and when/where they'll be?....im doing a nail tech course (already a therapist) so would be nice to get some bits for my kit
thanks for that. what's cup like? is to classed as a professional brand like glitter bels?....how long do you find your clients get from the gel and do you use acrylics too?....curently looking up different nail systems
thasnkyou!, I know not to mix different brands, as you never know how they turn out plus safety. i'll look into young nails, thankyou. so many brands its hard to know who to go with xx
hi everyone. I am level 2 and 3 beauty qualified and also qualified in gel polish. I currently use ink London for my gels.
however I'm going on to do a nail tech course level 3, and was wondering to those who do acrylics and gel enhancements do you use a one brand system or separate ones? I...
