    Online Beauty Course on Groupon

No, it's not!! Of course you wouldn't expect it to, with no hands on. It is worth it though, especially for that money. You pay more for a book, with a lot less info.

    Online Beauty Course on Groupon

There's an online beauty course on Groupon for just £12. I bought this exact one last year, for a lot more and for this price, it's an absolute steal!! For anyone in this industry, this is fabulous, whether you're just starting out or you've been doing it for donkeys. Of course it doesn't...

    Facebook savvy people please help!

I've posted a competition on our fb page that asks likes to post a pic of their mum on our wall, with the most number of likes winning a prize for mothers day. The problem is that only some are appearing on the wall and some of the posters are not viewable unless their friends of theirs. How...

    HD Brows

This is the HD brow wax. It's definitely stronger and more sticky than most usual waxes. I wish HD brows would change it. I have waxed for 14 years without a single problem, until I done HDs. It is the wax and not your technique. Try using the oil before waxing, with everyone, not just sensitive...

Patch Testing for Lash Extensions (Again.....)

Hi Colourstart:) I think the colourstart patch tests are a great idea, would love more confidence in using them as clients can't always make it into the salon for patch tests and the convenience aspect is great. You say that insurance is valid provided that the product is used strictly in...

Patch Testing for Lash Extensions (Again.....)

This is how I took it - HD Brows recommends patch testing before every treatment. The Holistic insurance company, they recommended, requires patch test for first time clients, so just not every time. I would strongly advise patch test first time or no treatment, not just offering. Your...

    IPL or Laser?

The absorption of light by hair and skin is dependent on the wavelength (colour) of the light. IPL uses a much broader spectrum of light than laser. Consequently, IPL is suitable for a wider range of hair colours and skin types than laser. The broad spectrum of IPL light also results in the...

Patch Testing for Lash Extensions (Again.....)

This is so true Angelina. Although HD Brows did say it depends on your insurance requirements and the one they recommended only need first time. I guess it's just to cover everyone's backs, in case someone reacts.

    I D Minerals bare escentuals

I would, if you can stretch to it, get in the MD or another pro skincare range. Not slagging off skin truth, but it would bring your business up a notch and I'd bet you clients will love it even more. The Bare Escentuals would certainly pay for itself in no time.

    Myscara training was brilliant

I'm sorry, I think they sound good, but the pictures I see are quite clumpy. OK, some might want a thick look, but does that mean they have to look clumpy? I have to try it to decide for myself, but I'm a bit frightened!
