    Entity tips!!

I didn't know that the tips were competition curve nails!!! All I have is a price list which says 'natural/white or clear tips'. It doesn't mention if they are 'c' curve, ultra form etc!!

    Entity tips!!

Hi girls, not been on here for some time now - am 29 weeks pregnant and haven't been doing too many sets as I've had complications with my pregnancy. Anyway, I've recently switched to Entity products and ordered some tips from them. The tips I'm used to have a well and I usually cut it out...

Renting a space part time - want to do nails mobile too???

I have been asked by a friend if I would like to rent a chair in her beauty salon 3 days a week. It'll only be a couple of hours a day and I am concerned that if she is advertising for me and introducing clients to me, if they cannot make it to have their nails on any of my set days in the...

    Bridal question

I voted Pink and Whites, but when I got married this year, I went for natural tips with no french, just pale pink nail polish as I wanted them to look as natural as possible. I guess every bride is different but as a rule, I would say the majority choose Pink and Whites. x

    not qualified enough!!!!!

What college were you going to? I'm sure when I was at college, they taught the Beauty Therapy Level 3 students with Star nails products...... Was the Star nail qualification for nail enhancements and manicures? Maybe you need a NVQ in manicures to do their nail enhancements course. Could you...

    Pregnancy and nail enhancements

Hi girls, thanks for your replies - Isabel, I have read the articles you mentioned and they were all really interesting. When I first went to see the midwife, she gave me a huge list of dos and don'ts, its quite frightening when someone tells you that you aren't allowed to have peanut butter...

    Pregnancy and nail enhancements

I was reading on a pregnancy website that nail enhancements should be avoided when you are pregnant, although there is no scientific evidence that it harms the baby, it should be avoided. Now my husband is getting worried about me doing nail enhancements and damaging our unborn baby! I have...

Help with lady requesting refund ?

If it was your fault, she would be desperate to show you what has happened and not have someone else do her nails first. You cannot give her a refund!!! If I went into my local hair salon and they dyed my hair and a week later I wasn't happy, I would not go into another salon and have it fixed...

    Doing your own nail enhancements....

Hi Bev Rose, I have done my mums nails and they look fab!! But she will be selling tiaras and if someone comes over to enquire about nails and my mum is busy I don't want to be dragging her away which is why I wanted to do my own. I'm the same as you - to anyone else, my nails look good but I...

    Doing your own nail enhancements....

Hi Karen, I did that and I found it alot easier. I usually put tips on both hands and work my way across but I did my right hand first and I was able to concentrate on perfecting that hand first. I would normally apply the acrylic to my left hand and it would look perfect and by the time I...

    gel removals

Hiya, I don't do gel nails so I can't advise you what the best method of removal is, but if the client has split her nail enhancement I think you did the right thing by removing it. Was the natural nail damaged at all? Did you put another nail extension on the one you removed?

    Doing your own nail enhancements....

Right, I have finished my nails - it took all of 3 hours to do, although I did have a few breaks inbetween and my little boy kept asking me to help him on his Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix computer game!!! They are finally done and look really good. I spent most of my time...

    Doing your own nail enhancements....

Thanks, I've got tomorrow free so I'll give your ideas a go. When I have done my own nails, I have always put all the tips on first, so I'll try and do my right hand first and concentrate and making them look good before doing my left hand - my left hand always looks fine so it really is just...

    Doing your own nail enhancements....

Hi girls, I've just started my nail business - I'm going mobile and working from home. I've yet to get any clients as I've just ordered a bunch of flyers/price lists/business cards etc and am waiting for them to come so I can do some leaflet dropping and making myself known in the area. Anyway...

Can anyone recommend a good foot spa/pedicure bowl??

I want to invest in a really good foot spa for when I do pedicures. The one I have at the moment is a Remingtons foot spa that has massage/vibrate/heat, but the heat option doesn't really work!! The water seems to get cool fairly quickly and I have to keep topping up with warm water which is a...
