Calling nail techs In Kent - nail art!

Would any Kent <And surrounding areas> nail techs be interested if it were possible to arrange some nail art training here in the county? Am thinking of nail art in particular and something that goes a little beyond flicks/dots/decals - eg gel art/foil? If there is sufficient interest, maybe...

    Backscratchers acrylic

I have trained with Backscratchers and it's very good of its kind. I can't really recommend it for strength and longevity, however, in comparison to liquid and powder or hard gel nail enhancements.

Help with transfer foils on gel

You are welcome. You can be very accurate with designs when doing it that way! :)

Help with transfer foils on gel

Try using foil gel and a thin gel detail brush for precise designs. You can get the foil gel from Mosaics or Crystal Nails.

Help with acrylic brush for L&P enhancement

I would second the Ezflow 508 and also recommend the Crystal Nails brushes.

    Definitely Crystal Nails.

Reverse application-L&P nails, thoughts and opinions?

I was CND trained initially and taught the traditional way. Personally, I regret the struggle and would only do the reverse method now. :irked:

    Nail brushes & dotters

The Barbara brush is the one used on their fine detailing workshop. I would honestly go for that.

    Nail brushes & dotters

I second Crystal Nails. I tried for literally years to find truly good brushes and all to an avail until I discovered them. They have a really comprehensive range, too. Save yourself a lot of time, money and frustration. Try them, you will honestly never look back!!

    Top coat chipping with foils

I would suggest you make sure you're using a flexible gel top coat, as something like Glaze n Go is too rigid for it and will tend to crack after a few days. I know Crystal Nails and Mosaic sell suitable flexible gel top coats.

    Mosaic nail art paints

They are lovely to use and produce a wide range of effects with ease, together with their foil gel and a wide variety of foils. The dvds are good, too. One of them is specifically for the gel paints. :)

    Nail adhesive

I always use a brush on adhesive. Young Nails and NSI are good, but I ran out recently and called in at my local Sally's as I didn't want to wait for a delivery. Got one in there, it did exactly the same job and cheaper. :)

    Nail art paints and brushes

Try Crystal Nails brushes and paints, they put an end to years of searching and disappointment for me. :D

Well-less tips or blended tips with Brisa Lite Sculpting

You are correct, the strength does come from the product. The tip is there to stop the product falling on your desk as you apply it, that's all! Your Pro Impressions 'No blend' tips will be fine. :)

NSI Glaze & Go - cracking

Since I switched to a soft gel top coat, I've had no further problems.

    Art for art's sake?

I'm with Chickafish, too, on this. Short answer is no, it doesn't stack up for most to bother with learning the more complex nail arts. It simply wont pay because you can't wave a magic wand and knock it up in the same time as a decal and people simply wont fork out for it. A couple of accent...

Which nail art paints/art brushes do you use?

You need the Barbara brush <either, depending on what you prefer> for fine lines etc and the nero merlo brush for the gel. Best to go onto the crystal nails website and have a look at all the brushes, though, as there are so many to choose from and you might see others you could utilise as well!
