Are you using Acetone to blend the tips? I dont know about other geeks but I was told to ditch the acetone and purely file them to blend because the acetone can weaken them. The tips are only meant to be a canvas so maybe the apex isnt correct or the thickness?? Is that any help?? Maxine x

There are places around that repair sofa's with like a liquid leather, they can match the colour so you would never even know it was ripped to start with....and i dont think it costs much either! I need to have my sofa done because my puppy has ripped it everywhere!!! HTH's. Maxine x
