Well done!! I'm an ex nail biter myself (tried all sorts over the years) and I really do find that painting my nails or wearing Shellac helps - particularly Shellac as it keeps my nails a bit stronger than just polish - as I want to keep my nails looking nice.

I've seen these leaflets too - I was pretty shocked by it, as it just read like total propaganda. I'm an ex-sunbed user, I used to go on them a lot when I was younger and I really regret it now...it's made me a bit anti-sunbed, but as people said it's all about choices and making your own...

Not sure which day I'll go on - I might try and time it with whenever there's football on and that way I can kill two birds with one stone :D

Could it not be set up as an apprenticeship? Where she gets paid like £80 a week or something? Not sure how that will work on an "as needed" basis though.

This is what we used at college, and what I've used to do crystal nails on myself - I think a proper tool looks much more professional though (and probably gives better results)

I wonder if you could suggest to her in a roundabout way to have some sort of pamper party or ask if she has any friends that would like treatments at the same time as her? That way it would be more worth your while.

I'm a reformed nailbiter too but now I don't bite my nails grow quite quickly, so I find after 14 days with Shellac on, they're really ready for a new application. Remember nails grow quicker in summer too.

Last time I went and got my brows threaded, there was a little dog trotting around in the salon sort of under peoples feet in the hairdressing bit, not sure if he belonged to a member of staff or a customer but either way I didn't feel it was particularly appropriate in terms of the little dogs...
