Just a thought ... are you using acetone on the pads to remove the Shellac? When you say D, do you mean D Solve or D sperse as the latter is designed just to take the sticky layer of... just another thought x
I also do Shellac treatments in Ashford , Kent if any of the ladies that have had...
angel1981...I qualified in L&P in 2009 after training with Liza Smith at Bodylines, I became a Mum in 2010 and nails were put aside which is why I am picking up my brush and getting myself back on track. I am pleased you think they have improved!!

Hi techs, after my first critique I took on your advice and these are my sister in law's Glitter enhancements. I again used CND Retention Plus and Perfect Colour powders with an NSI Glitter. I am interested too see if you can see improvement in the previous problem area and any comments are...
Thank you, your very kind, I have recently done another set of there on my sister in law so may post these and see if I have improved at all!! I have Gigi Nailclass and constantly pull it out for a read, always inspires me to try again!:green:
Yes I was trained by Liza Smith, a 1-2-1 isn't an option for me right now but lots of practise is and that's why these critiques help me so much. I am always very careful around the eponichium and I tend to use smaller beads for fear of having a clump at the bottom of the nail bed. The acrylic...
Thanks for the further comments. Gigi I still have a lot of Perfect Practise to do. Since these nails I have put my white tips away, bought out my natural velocitys and have been practising the way I was taught by Liza, and have been getting better results... I think. The Glitter critique is...
Further to my "Complaints" critique I sat and treate dmyself to some glittery enhancements. I used CND powders and a NSI glitter, I can see on one nail I stayed probably a bit further away from the eponichium, what do you all think of these?
Thanks in advance for taking a look;)
I am honoured to have your critiques, this is the place I come for advice from pro's and will alwasy take on board what you have said. I am going to add another critique of my latest glitter enhancements, I applied natural tips and sculpted the acrylic on top...maybe you could take a look at...
gr8nailz, could you explain why you think they look like they need a infill? This is my main concern so would appreciate further critique on that point :green:
Thanks , I also zoomed in and noticed the thumbs had slightly larger gaps, but couldn't see them on others. I also agree she was just after her wedding nails for a freebie but no amount of offense and threat is worth £12 to me so I hope that's the last of it. I have to agree they aren't my...
Hi,
I am not sure but I also have a cnd brush and showed my educator the yellow mark it made when wiping on a tissue and she said that this was contamination of the brush.
I am lucky at the moment as it isn't effecting my product but this may worsen.
I know you mentioned you had cleaned the gum...
I had learnt all the benefits but it's the smell I am in love with, we even joked on the course that the quick dry spray could be our latest room fragrance :)
I was taught to use solar oil at the end of the treatment. So buff to a high shine then apply solar last thing and rub in. Leaves the client with a yummy smell! :green: (and me)
I think it is actual impact pain you know when you catch your finger in something. She says there is nothing there so will have a check tonight. Thanks for your suggestions x
No the nail tip came off and she hadn't realised how it was done so it did not hurt. That was my first thought maybe she had hurt the nail plate some how but she is not aware of anything that actually hurt at the time.
She has just mentioned she may have hurt it on a shopping trip! I think...
Hi, I am currently on my CND 5 day course for L&P. Day 5 is due in September and I have been prectising on my mum's nails.
At the beginning of the week she lost a nail tip and I was due to repair it this evening.
She has phoned me just now and said she has a burning sensation on the finger...
