Discounting products because a client says it is cheaper online?

Hey. Im sure others will post their views so heres mine. Was she a regular client to your salon? If so i would reply online companies dont have the overheads that salons do and probably buy in mass bulk so affording them to sell for less online, however in the salon you have the overheads...

    Opti smooth help/tips?

Best advice i can think of is to take really small sections when doing each stage. Dont be tempted to cut corners by having bigger sections and when you flat iron and it says on instructions it should take about an hour,it really does!! x

    Perms

Have you carried out a wet strectch test and a test piece yet? I would really test the hair condition etc etc first before even considering it to be honest. Hair can look ok condition wise but it could have a lovely coating of plastic on it and the minute you stretch test it could stretch to...

    Hair extension nightmare

Hi. Are you a hairdresser? If not we cant advise and i would def recommend you call the person who put them in and get the rest of the bonds removed properly. Putting acetone on cotton wool on bonds that you cant see will almost certainly damage your own hair. How come you removed them? x

Which oil is best for extensions?

If the quality of the hair is good enough a serum should be sufficient to keep them looking glossy. Ivev never needed to recommend an oil as i use top quality hair, but i advise clients not to use anything too oily due to bonds as it can break them down or make them slide. Do you know which...

I would be very worried about blisters on the head due to extensions. Are they not tension bumps?Normally caused by fitting too close or too much hair being dragged into each section?

    Patch test for colour

Hi. I can tell you our salon procedure for patch testing, but i cant say what is deemed the legal requirememnts. We are rigid with patch testing for obvious reasons so this is how we do it. The client comes and we put the colour on their body and cover. They fill out a patch test form...

    Hair silicones

Hi. Is it a sensitivity reason that you dont want silicone? I think youl probably find it quite hard to find an oil or smoother that doesnt contain any silicones because thats normally what makes the product. Without it it wouldnt have the same effect. Hopefully some other geeks may...
