Do you wear gloves when doing pedicures

I wear gloves for every client all the time. I think it looks more professional wearing gloves. It shows that you care about your health (you dont want to contract any type of virus (wart) or other nail condition) as well as that of the clients. Besides, I dont want anyones sloughed off skin...

Just wondering is anyone had suggestions

My best advice would be to NOT open up a shop as soon as you get out of school. What you learn in school (at least in the US) does NOT prepare you for what you are in for. Suck it up and work at a shop for a while, get some work experience in the field and then after you have established...

    Barbicide/Rust?

Barbicide WILL rust your implements. I prefer a non-rusting formula of wet sanitizer/disinfectant Let's Touch is the brand we use in our salon. Here is the link for the website: www.isabelcristina.com/letstouch.htm The 32oz concentrate lasts months. We have 5 techs changing their trays...

    Working Wet

O.P.I.'s ABSOLUT is the best thing for techs that like to work wet. They say there are no exact mixing ratios, but to use as much powder as you want to go with the saturation of the brush. I don't work wet and I had some problems with ABSOLUT but other techs in my salon love it!

    Pedicures - hard skin removal

There is a product called "CALLUS ELIMINATOR" by BeNatural It is AMAZING. You put it on any callused/tough skin as soon as you remove the foot from the bath. By the time you did your nail filing and cuticle work the skin is NICE n' SOFT and the calluses ROLL off with the use of a foot file...

Is it okay to NOT use tips?

I have found it to be much quicker for me to just sculp length onto a nail rather than apply a nail tip. Is this okay to do? Or do I NEED to put a tip on and then an overlay? BTW I do not to pink and whites, just clear/pink

    Gel Convert!!!

It has been my experience that most gel systems use a 9 watt lamp. I would not reccomend using NAILITE gels, I have had absolutely no success with them.

    OPI's STRUCTURE nail tips!

After hearing all the hype I finally broke down and bought a 60 assortment pack today. I <3 them. The smile line is so deep and the C curve is very dramatic. I just put the white tips on with a clear L&P overlay, it looks wonderful. They come in white, natural, and clear. Did I mention that...

Where can I buy Nail Tek Natural Alternative Kit

No salon will ever "carry" this product because it is NOT a retail product, it is NOT something you sell to clients. That would be cutting your own throat (selling a professional system to a non-professional) I am sorry that you cannot find any salons in your area that do not offer this...

Which resin and how... for weekender nails

Try backscratchers base or finish glaze with the glaze dryer. OPI also has their MICROWRAP system and all you would need would be the activator and the THIN SET.
