Why do people think very short courses are OK?

I don't think it's the people that think very short courses are OK that are to blame. I agree with what you have said but would like to point out the following, most from personal experience... When you are not in the industry and you try and research (mainly on internet) for suitable courses...

LOL. I spent a VERY long time reading the WHOLE thread today...some bits twice! Can you let me know how you get on during and after your play time?

Very cool technique for Brisa users wanting colored gel....

Thank you Adele. When you say that it didn't work for you...what do you mean? Did it chip/peel/lift etc.? I suppose nowadays (a couple of years on from when the thread was started) there are so many choices of coloured gels around including the Brisa Bolds that there is no need to do this but...

Very cool technique for Brisa users wanting colored gel....

I know this is a very old thread but would like to know if anyone had tried this recently and if so, how was it, did it last? Thanks x

PopIts - How do you judge the length?

Sorry to hijack the thread but on a slightly different topic, could you not extend the length of the nail using the PopIt without having to tip the nail first...like sculpting? p.s. I had also wondered about guestimating the length and had thought of using a marker pen but didn't know if that...

    Driving- some questions to ask

I learnt in an automatic car...only because the 2 cars we had at home were automatic. I also like the 'prestige' kind of cars and most, if not all of them are in automatic so didn't feel the need to drive a manual car. Took 7 'paid' lessons and had quite a few with my dad. I don't think it...

How should I nurse my nails better?

Thank you all for your advice. I will try to be patient..although this is going to be difficult! Will stick to the Solar Oil, which I use several times a day anyway. Onycholysis is visibly better, although it was only slight. Will definitely try out some vitamins. I don't like having...

How should I nurse my nails better?

Hi. I'm a little embarassed to ask but here goes... I've been practising Brisa application on myself and have now kind of trashed them (through over filing I think). They are now fairly thin and keeps breaking at the sides above free edge/on nail bed...and also am getting a bit of onycholosis...

Feel like throwing the towel in

I really wouldn't rule out working in a salon or renting space/room - this is what I would do if I didn't have 3 young children. Look at it like as a 'stepping stone' to your final goal. When working in a salon/renting space, you would be more exposed thus building up a client base would be...

Where would you rather go for your treatment?

I have read this thread with great interest as like the poster am looking to convert my garage for when I get started. It appears that this is a very personal opinion - those who have high street salons prefer going to one and those who have home salons don't mind going to another home based...
