I don't think it's the people that think very short courses are OK that are to blame.
I agree with what you have said but would like to point out the following, most from personal experience...
When you are not in the industry and you try and research (mainly on internet) for suitable courses...

I suppose nowadays (a couple of years on from when the thread was started) there are so many choices of coloured gels around including the Brisa Bolds that there is no need to do this but...
Sorry to hijack the thread but on a slightly different topic, could you not extend the length of the nail using the PopIt without having to tip the nail first...like sculpting?

I learnt in an automatic car...only because the 2 cars we had at home were automatic. I also like the 'prestige' kind of cars and most, if not all of them are in automatic so didn't feel the need to drive a manual car. Took 7 'paid' lessons and had quite a few with my dad.

I've been practising Brisa application on myself and have now kind of trashed them (through over filing I think). They are now fairly thin and keeps breaking at the sides above free edge/on nail bed...and also am getting a bit of onycholosis...

I have read this thread with great interest as like the poster am looking to convert my garage for when I get started.
It appears that this is a very personal opinion - those who have high street salons prefer going to one and those who have home salons don't mind going to another home based...
