Gelish Rockstar/glitter nails, 1 coat of TIO or 2?

Depends on if you are sprinkling the glitter on to uncured gel or if you are pressing it into inhibition layer. I press it into the inhibition layer and use only one coat of TIO and that works fine. If I were going to add a decal or waterslide, then I would add a second coat.

    Additives and Gelish

In lieu of CND's Additives, you can use any cosmetic grade pigment powder. Such as those from MAC.

    Gelish

Could be. Just the term "daylight" in the title makes me think that bulbs are wrong for curing gelish. You should at least have a 4-bulb, 36 watt tunnel lamp. If you are going to use standard uv; vs. LED

Gelish not lasting longer than 10 days

I wouldn't over buff (I don't buff at all), but I would make sure that you are thoroughly removing all cuticle from the entire nail plate. This and adequate scrubbing with 99% alcohol should be enough to completely remove the shine from the nail (as well as cleaning the nail plate). After all...

    Gelish on post acrylic nails

I would leave the acrylic on and just file it down fairly thin keeping it flush with the natural nail; use a bit of Structure at the regrowth and Gelish the whole thing. Allowing the acrylic to grow out on its' own. I have transitioned many clients this way with great success.

Building Gelish equipment from scratch. What would you buy

You should check out the Gelish Lover's group as there are many threads on this very subject; as well as many pics of individual colors on nails as well as pics of layered colors.

    Please help!

If it is bumpy, that is something you should be noticing before the client ever leaves your chair. The last thing you do before you polish (etc) is slowly run your thumbs over each individual nail (I do it with my eyes closed-seems to help me focus on feeling) to feel for any abnormalities that...

36w UV or Mini Pro 45 for Gelish?

With the pro45, you get to save some time curing, BUT, you have to do the thumbs separately. Whereas with the standard uv tunnel lamp, you can cure them all at the same time. So it's kind of a trade off.

Gelish, to buff or not to buff?

If, on first time wearers, you thoroughly remove all cuticle from entire nail plate and thoroughly dehydrate; you should not have to buff the nail. Those two actions should remove the shine completely from the nail plate. Very seldom; on someone with say--oily nail plates--you can give it a...

    Gelish-nice grey and purple?

I use Starburst and Plum & Done a lot, I don't get a lot of call for grey, but I do use Midnight Caller quite a bit. It is more of a silver though.

    Crystals on Gelish

I set them in uncured TIO, cure then TIO around them again to kind of build up an edge around each setting. For bigger stones, or lot of stones, I will set them in Structure and cure.

    Gelish

I use nothing but Gelish nowadays for my mobile appointments. And for its' size and versatility I use the Gelish Pro 45 LED lamp for mobile appointments. However, I use the Artistic LED lamps in my shop at my table and the PNI Rapidcure LED lamps at my pedi station. You just need to know the...
