    UV gel course/Shellac

You're very lucky as you've got 2 options for Shellac training in London. The first being Ruth Fordham CND Shellac Education Ambassador, based right near St Paul's. And also Anna & Ketan at the Creative Academy London (Post code: HA0 1EH) Give Sweet Squared HQ a call on 0845 210 6060 to...

    Shellac over acrylic?

I don't offer l&p or gels myself, however I do have an option on my price list for Shellac over enhancements, as my clients do ask me for it. I charge £15 for this...some may think that's quite a lot, but my clients never bat an eyelid, they'd pay for that glorious mirror like shine alone!! :)

    Fantastic Shellac Course

So pleased you got so much out of it! :) P.S. I think Kayley must have been your educator today. I've told her she'll have to annunciate her name better next time! ;) x

    Shellac customer - annoyance

I'd repair it too, she'll be grateful you did and hopefully come back for a full Shellac service time & time again. Don't turn away business, particularly in this climate. Do a cracking job and reap the rewards! :) x

Oh hell, what's going to happen?

I think it just needs updating. Don't let it boggle you too much! :) Dry PEP - Cuticle Away Wet PEP + Cuticle Away

Oh hell, what's going to happen?

CND does advise a dry PEP, however if you had a client with particularly bad cuticles there's nothing to stop you using Cuticle Away, that is your call. Providing you neutralise it with soapy water and clear the nail plate from any product prior to Scrubfreshing ;) Blossom a dry PEP is: File...

Oh hell, what's going to happen?

I'd definitely say a few 'hail Marys' before bed tonight!! ;) If there's residues of Cuticle Away left on the nail plate your client may experience a bit of lifting around the eponychium but the Shellac is certainly not going to just slide off the nails so don't panic! :) I personally...

Own Shellac coming off index finger - not surprisingly - but how do you manage?

Yes & no :) I try not to work with them too wet, I dampen one side, Scrubfresh 1 hand, turn it around, dampen that side and Scrubfresh the other hand. I usually only get a few fibres and remove them with a dry wipe. Maybe I've just been lucky! :)

Own Shellac coming off index finger - not surprisingly - but how do you manage?

I personally use the plastic backed pads and love them. Geeg uses the new lint free soft landings pads: pick them up between your index & middle finger. Lay these fingers on top of the pad in a V shape then pinch it to pick it up. Et voila, protected nails!! :)

    Sorry........I Can't Hear You!!

Oh darling that is awful & I'm so sorry you're having to put up with this kind of cr*p. They are just trying to hit you where it hurts. You can bet your bottom dollar if they actually called SS they'd come round, have a chat with you, see how wonderful you are & how happy your son is, then...

What's everyone buying at the beauty show?!

It wasn't VAT free last year & I'm pretty sure it won't be this year either! But you can rest assured the F.A.B. deals S2 come up with will certainly save you a small fortune! :)

    Describing what Shellac is....?

I say: "Shellac is CND's 'power polish!' For you this means, there's no buffing of your natural nail, ZERO dry time & up to 14 days of flawless wear with a mirror like finish that NEVER dulls. When would you like me to book you in?" ;) X

Oh how I love this thread! So nice to see your OH's are so supportive! Mine is another fabulous guy. What nails are you sporting today?

It's one of Stargazer's glitters, I bought it at one of the shows last year. I'm not sure where you'd get it now, however I know Sweet Squared's new range of Irresistible Glitters have one that's very similar ;) X

Help! Don't know how to reply to my eyelash client!

I'd reply and say "Oh dear, sounds like you've been sleeping on the one side and those lashes of your's have been rubbing on the pillow all night, the only other explanation is that you may have inadvertently rubbed them? Not to worry though, I can come round and top you back up, as usual the...
