    Envy dual fix 12

How weird !! Lol, just posted something on the Olaplex thread about Dual Fix! Staff in the salon I rent a room in absolutely swear by it - reckon it's rejuvinated their blow dry business! x

    Olaplex

This is really interesting - the Salon I work out of has just been looking at this but have decided against it - too much faff on apparently. They're using a product called Dual Fix 12 by Envy Professional as a prewash and/or precolour treatment and getting great results. As you can see...

    Advice regarding a claim

Afternoon geeks, Quick question, if someone is trying to make a claim and since the date of the claim the insurance company has changed, is it the current insurers or the insurers at the time who deal with the claim?

Dilema with trying to find somewhere to rent a few days a week

Depending on what kind of therapies you offer, have you considered GP or Dental Surgeries? Sure Start or Community Centres? Swimming Pools? Most of these are happy to rent out rooms on an ad hoc basis and lots will rent per hour rather than per day x

    Groupon

This thread is really interesting. I've been called by Living Social in the last few days wanting to do an offer for me. So far I've refused but there is one treatment I'm considering that they're very keen on. There is less than pennies product cost associated so only my time and as salon...

Beauty | New Brow Treatment From Eyelash Design Company

Been looking at another company who offer training for this - I think it would go down a storm if priced correctly

    Juice plus diet powder?

There's a few ways of doing it, I know ppl who do 2 shakes and 2 small-ish meals plus snacks of fruit, a few nuts etc. Try to minimise dairy and cut out carbs. There are others who do 2 shakes and 2 meals but don't worry too much about dairy or carbs. I think the main idea is to eat every...

    Therapists doing own work

It's a long time since I had anything to do with employment law but if Im honest it sounds like you're both on dodgy ground should Mr HMRC investigate. By receiving a 'wage' from one employer she is not, as I understand it, self employed, although I wait someone correcting me on this if it's...

    Juice plus diet powder?

Yay! Glad I searched for this thread... I've been using J+ for about 3 or 4 weeks now and the energy it has given me is incredible!!! People are commenting on the condition of my skin, the girls in the salon reckon my hair has a life of it's own for growth (I'm beauty but work in a salon so...

    Therapists doing own work

I might be wrong but it sounds like you're seeing her more as an employee than self employed? As self employed she can go wherever and whenever she wants - it's usually a 2 way thing that's worked out with the salon you rent in, but unfortunately, as I'm sure you know, she has no need to ask...

    Saving spending tips?

I like saving them then using them for the beauty shows - I'm off to Manchester next weekend so I'll be able to treat myself to something nice for me and/or my clients to enjoy. I went to edinburgh earlier in the year and had about £800 quid in tips to take with me, I was soooooo happy! Can't...

    Kaeso manicure products

I really like their products. The exfoliator smells lovely and does a great job without being too abbraisive. Like L_Bailey I get breakouts of eczema on the hands but these products don't irritate at all. xx

What is the consumer's definition of great customer service?

Hmmm, interesting subject. I'm prepared to give any supplier/distributor the benefit of the doubt once, even twice, but usually not beyond that. Excellent customer service to me includes the fulfilment of promises, setting realistic expectations - if it's not going to be delivered until...

Built in, pull down nail table-any ideas?

Our old favourite Ikea do breakfast bar style tables which attach the the wall then pull up (rather than down) when required. Not sure if they do them in different depths/lengths but maybe worth having a look over their website. x

Don't know what to do with this client!

You could always amend your Salon Policy to including a non refundable deposit for appointments over x hours? Might make her think twice about cancelling but at the very least it will provide a little compensation for the inconvenienced caused.
