Some glitters will leech their color into the gel polish, changing the overall color of the gel. You're better off mixing the glitter into the gel as you need it or dusting it into the cured sticky layer before topcoating.

Love them! They work great. Huge savings over the foil wraps. They're polypropylene plastic which is acetone resistant.

I use thin upholstery foam cut into squares. I buy it at fabric or craft stores.

I'm thinking what the article is referring to is the shellac that you buy at the paint store. It's used for furniture refinishing and to seal woodworking and such. LOL, I never could figure out why CND chose that as a name for the product line!:lol:

If the Gelish (or any other SOG) is applied over hard gel, it absolutely won't soak off. I apply SOGs over hard gel all the time, but I use a good enamel basecoat between the hard gel and the SOG, and it soaks right off in less than 10 minutes. I'm betting your client has a hard gel overlay...
