    Mix-ratio question

Hi guys, thanks for all the great messages, was seriously giving up after the last couple of sets of L&P I did (luckily they were friends :irked:). I did a conversion course with Marina at CND in Dublin, here in Ireland. She was fantastic with her comments, but I just cant seem to get the...

UV Gel & Glitter Application, Why Messy?

Have a search for tracey louise, she does some amazing glitter nails. I am dying to try her method of using a dotting tool dipped in the gel and then glitter, so it sounds like you dont have to have extra pots of different coloured glitter mixed with gel. HTH

    Glitter gel nails

Tracey Louise .... you are awesome, as are your nails. I have been on here for 1.5 hrs now and only came on to find out if I could use gel over acrylic and discovered your posts about glitters. I cant wait to pop into the salon (tomorrow - sun ???) just to try the dotting tool method out, how...

    Glitter gel ratio anyone ....??

That's cool, never heard/thought of that. How do you seal the glitter with gel without contaminating a pot of gel with glitter from the nail???

When to apply rhinestones or glitter?

Quick and simple instructions, thanks. Just one thing. When placing the builder layer of the glitter, how do I avoid getting glitter into my gel pot thus leaving me with a pot of gel and bits of glitter when the next client may only want clear gel. Wiping the brush after each nail of builder...

    Using Gel and Acrylic Together

Hi your nails are lovely. I have read these threads but have a quick question. I am currently using Creative and like others, am still trying to perfect the l&p smile. In the meantime I tried on myself (cos its bad enough perfecting the smile on others, I have no chance on myself with my left...

Has anyone got a Nail printer?

Hi I dont know how to private mess on this, have you sold your printer yet?

    Large Window Posters

Both valid points, but in fairness, Ebay is also there for little people that cant afford to buy directly from the manufacturer. An example Brisa Clear Sculpting Gel (large) here in Ireland is €120. I have a lady based in Scotland who sells it for £46.00 incl p&p that approx €70!!! €50 is too...

    Nail printer

I have just spent the last hour n half trawling chinese websites, ebay, YouTube etc to see what all the fuss is about these nail printers. I've heard they are very big in the US. They seem too good to be true, thinking of grovelling to hubby to buy one for my birthday to use in my salon. Has...

    PopIts Step by easy Step

Thanks for the reply. I thought I had read it somewhere, it just seem too 'simple' I assumed it would involve more work as you have to place a smile without the finger as a guide??? (if u get my drift??) I spose this is where I need to practise l&p without depending on the popits. Thanks a mill.

    PopIts Step by easy Step

Although I am a fan of Brisa, I have used the popits a few times for clients that want stronger nails but only with white tips. I have read the tutorial but unsure about something (sorry, I might be in dim mode here), instead of using a white tip, if I wanted to use white powder instead. How do...

    First full set of tips!

SP, chin up, you will get there. I am no expert (I would love to be, like some of the girls are on this site :green: are), but I love doing nails and like my earlier post (back in 2006), I STILL get clients that want tips on BUT JUST WONT LOOK AFTER THEM. Check back through your prep, and...

Ok..lets see more pics of PopIts nails!

Thanks Geeg, back to the drawing board so. I think I was patting to much, noticed the airbubbles when I flipped the form over and seen underneath. I have a L&P conversion course with Marion on Tues in Dublin, so fingers crossed. Your tutorial on PopIts and gels was great, I wish I had time to...

Ok..lets see more pics of PopIts nails!

I saw a demo in Dublin on Monday and was bowled over, have been trying them out on myself this evening. Can someone please tell me, if I have air bubbles is that because the product is too 'wet':irked:. I am a Brisa gal and doing a conversion L&P course in Dublin next week, but was dying to...

cracking and lifting on natural nails!!

Thanks for the reply. I will contact my tutor and get her to work out maybe where I am going wrong. I dont want to use another system as I love using Brisa, it is so hardwearing when used on tips. I just need to achieve the same results with natural nails. Thanks again. Debbie

    Bio Sculpture Techs

Guys thank you all soo much for the above info. Just stumbled across this thread. I use Brisa gel and tips and thinking of doing the Bio Sculpture one-day course in Dublin (I moved over from uk to back of beyond). I heard about BS from a customer who has beautiful but weak natural nails...

cracking and lifting on natural nails!!

Thanks guys. She is very meticulous with her nails, so I'm sure she has been careful with them. I have practiced on myself a good bit and I still have the same probs, I wear natural and white tips most of the time (as they are good advertising) and yet.... it still cracks and lifts sooooo...

cracking and lifting on natural nails!!

Thanks for the reply. Yep, its the Brisa lamp. This lady has such lovely nails as they have grown underneath the Bio Sculpture Gel it seems such a shame she had the probs after I applied the Brisa (dont think she will be back:irked:). Could the layers have been too thin?
