We mainly deal with tourist trade in the summer and it can be really irritating when they want a reduction on the price and they're not Eden a regular client!
I will use this and just politely inform the customer that ' offers are regularly posted on website and...
Crikey this thread has become quite heated!
I respectfully disagree with you but I respect your right to your opinion.
I would like to say that this forum has been extremely interesting for me and Iv gained so much from this site which is a fantastic resource for us all to share information...
Hello again..
Barbacide is an excellent disinfectant but it only kill some and not all pathogens and it dos not kill bacterial spores.
The video is just a tool for those beauticians who may have considered the method of autoclave but didn't know how to go about it. I know ( and my clients know)...
Good Morning..
Unfortunately dangerous pathogens are not visible to the naked eye and cannot be removed by cleaning and soaking ( barbacide ) alone. You may be treating a client with a very serious disease that either they haven't told you about or that they don't know that they have! You may...
Hi Mrsbaker
The Autoclave is the is more important than the ultrasonic. The ultrasonic cleans the tools but it is the autoclave that actually sterilises the equipment. If the tools are clean ( ultrasonic ) but not sterilised ( autoclave ) then they are not safe to use. The ultrasonic alone does...
Maybe do an offer of a polish free pedicure? Many people still need there toenail clipped, hard skin removed but they don't want to spend the money on the polish since feet are in closed shoes. Spend more time on the massage and maybe call it ' Winter warmer pedicure treatment' or ' spend time...
It should be OK to paint but advice your client if she see changes in the toenail i.e signs of infection or irritation then she should return to have the gel removed but generally if she has had for a few months then there should be minimal risk x

Hi Jdn. If this is a long term condition ( 6 months or older ) then it is perfectly safe to apply soft gel polish to the area. If the split has appeared recently and there is evidence of injury with redness and possibly pus then no don't apply gel polish. It all depends on the type of split...

As a foot therapist and beautician I see many people with foot conditions that would not be observable without training. If you assume that all clients may have conditions and you use international sterilization techniques ( ultrasonic/ autoclave and disposables) then you will be protecting...
I live in Cyprus and I did three NVQ beauty courses on a 'over the Internet' course which included skype assessments with final assessments at the college. I was awarded three distinctions and I feel very happy to work with the knowledge I received...
Some fast track courses are good I suspect...
If you sterilize your equipment ( autoclave) and use disposable file/ buffer then it on.
It's ok and don't worry about the polish as this is a solvent and the fungus will not survive so you don't need to worry about transferring the infection...
