Toothpaste - I could feel hairspray on my nails so I cleaned them with my elec toothbrush + toothpaste and it made the top coat go sticky and dull.

I think you can refill the same way as acrylics. I was confused too about whether the acrylic is really acrylic or light-cured gel. Also I'm sure I read somewhere that the nails are actually made of acrylic rather than plastic too.

I have the system which I use on my own nails as only trained in gel polish. It's a good system - would be good as 'party nails'.

Try sellotape. Works for me.

Thanks - yes I have been doing this and the condition is improving - even the new yellow roots are OK. Just want to achieve my long-term goal now to get darker (but lighter than natural shade), then have regular root re-touch so that I don't have colour over and over again on the ends.
