    Detox?

Agree with the above that a "detox" is totally unnecessary. You say you've tried "all the diets", that might be where your problem is. Fad diets don't work, not in the long term anyway. The best way to lose weight and maintain it is to eat a clean diet and get plenty of exercise. East as closely...

    New Minx

I haven't tried them, but am wondering how people feel about them generally? I haven't done any Minx for a long time. Is it still popular for others? Is it now being marketed as more of a retail product? Am I right in thinking that you no longer need the lamp? Was that just a waste of money...

    Other make-up geeks - help!

I think it's important to consider how they usually look and the sort of make up they wear day to day, I think it's odd to look completely different on your wedding day. I also think that a lot of the time when they show you a photo they're wanting to look like the person, rather then wanting...

    Cleaning makeup brushes

I spot clean with the good old MAC one and my deep clean product of choice for a year or so has been the Japonesque Goat Mild solid brush cleaner. Great for travel too as you know it won't leak :)

    Make up for mature ladies

Skin prep. Moisture, moisture and more moisture. Worth mentioning primers for this.

Best way to get rid of cellulite?

Having a clean diet and lifting heavy weights.

    Protein world

But she was talking about the WEIGHT of it. So, yes, a tonne of bricks is the same as a tonne of feathers in WEIGHT - both weight a tonne!

    Protein world

Basically, consuming extra protein isn't necessarily going to make anyone lose or gain weight. Only have a calorie deficit (through diet and or exercise) will cause weight loss and an excess of calories will cause weight gain. I would recommend extra protein to anyone, as most people don't...

    Protein world

A pound of muscle still weighs a pound, just as a pound of fat will. You didn't offend me, it just frustrates me when people are brainwashed like that!

    Protein world

Not the old "muscle weighs more than fat" nonsense again :grr: A pound is a pound!

    Make-up artists: let's share tips!

I've always used the MAC one. I put a spray pump on top, spray onto a bit of couch roll/kitchen roll and swirl the brushes until they come away clean. This kills bacteria as well and they dry really quickly.

    Barcelona

I didn't find eating out expensive at all, but we avoided the main, touristy areas when looking for restaurants.

    Barcelona

It was April when I went, it's a good time to go. I did a couple of "free" (you just tip at the end) walking tours, a Gaudi one and also a Gothic one that took us around the Jewish quarter. Both were really interesting. Park Guell is fantastic, I spent an afternoon there on a lovely warm...

    Barcelona

I'm afraid I can't remember which hotel I stayed at, just wanted to say that I love Barcelona and hope you have a great time! When are you going?

    Lipsticks

I'm surprised at Florabundance being popular, it's like having sticky concealer on the lips!

    Rescue RXx

So are we supposed to rub it in or not? I'm going to order some for myself soon.

    Make-up artists: let's share tips!

All info about the MAC Pro membership is available online. You could always give them a call if you're unsure about any of it. There have been previous discussions about it on here too if you search.

    Make-up artists: let's share tips!

I'd almost forgotten about Inglot. They need to expand their stores as well as sort out the online discount.

    Make-up artists: let's share tips!

They're £15.50?! I had no idea, it is so long since I paid full price for one, I remember when they were £11.00 (not that long ago actually). I take it that you don't qualify for pro discount yet? Why not get a couple of the well known MAC shades then lots of other, cheaper brands? You can...
