    Mobile therapist scheduling app

It isn’t an app, but I use it on phone and iPad, I would say it’s easier to use on the bigger screen. If u don’t want online booking you just don’t implement it. It is a useful tool for accounting as well.

    Card machine for small businesses

You could have a look at smart trade or stripe, app based card payment runs on your phone, no monthly fees, you pay a percentage of each transaction and it takes 7 days to reach your bank account, but it is very simple and easy set up. Totally secure, great if you are a mobile tech.

Do people still ask for Minx?

I still occasionally do a minx. They really only work on toes, which is why it’s less popular than the gel polish. You do an ordinary nail prep, finish with scrub fresh, before applying minx on clean nails. Minx is a stand alone product you don’t use shellac as well? They are cheaper and better...

You can track stock, add notes to client records, set up,split shift timetable, all these things were extra on...

Shedul is free, new upgrades all free, text reminders free, easy set up and if you have a whole client base to move over, they import for free too. I moved from salonlite in August and haven't found a negative yet.

    Feel like giving up rant

It has really worked for me, but every magazine is different, if it's the sort of magazine you would look in, to find a tradesmen, then it's worth it. I get at least 3 enquiries a month from my advert. If they become regular clients who introduce a friend, 6 months is paid for easily! Be sure...

    Feel like giving up rant

I think it's really hard getting a home based salon started from scratch, could you rent space a couple of half days a week in a mixed salon, to get yourself known? Get a part time job to keep yourself in 'the mood', when you do get new clients you need to be upbeat, chatty and positive, really...
