Hi,
I've just come across this post and noticed that the owner has passed away, which is such sad news as he was a very helpful guy. If anyone requires help with the software please feel free to message me and I will do my best to help.
Kind Regards,
Trishul Shah
Hello,
Unisalons is a great piece of software for a small the medium sized company. It works on any windows pc. You can buy your own equipment. Easy to use and does what is needed.
Hi,
I am finally about to buy my stylist a pair of scissors for Christmas. I have my rep coming in tomorrow bringing a range of TRI Scissors for him to tryout. Has anyone used or got a pair of TRI's and if so how well do they perform?
Cheers,
Trish
Sunbeds can be good and bad. It all depends on the salon and how safe they are with sunbed usage. If a salon lets a client go on for 12mins everyday, then they are risking the client to over exposure. It's always best to make sure health and safety procedures are in place and to take care of...

I am with 1&1 for my hosting site but wouldn't use them for web designing. They make it look so easy on TV . If you rather build a website yourself and always able to update it when you can, then I would invest into coffeecup visual site designer (not expensive and well worth the...
Sorry it wasn't an attack on my stylist. He had his current pair re-sharpened a while ago, after a while he decided he needed a new pair and so purchased a some which are in no condition to be used, so he has gone back to using his old pair of scissors. As he has come on an employed basis i've...
Hi,
I think what you are on is expensive but that does depend on how busy your sunbeds are and how many lights you have in the salon. I have now converted majority of the lights in the salon to led bulbs as its hardly uses much electric. Your best thing to do is ring your current supplier and...
Hi,
I have recently taken on my self employed stylist as employed. I have asked him to purchase some new scissors as I think he is due for some. I've told him that I would match whatever he puts in so he can buy a good pair. He has just mentioned that he cant afford it at the moment as he has...
Hello, hope you are ok.
Best thing to do is for you to keep all the client cards with you, so the therapist is unable to take them with her. If you have taken over a business in which she was employed by, then you are the rightful owner of the clients data. Check your contract details with...
I think your boss has over analysed her expectations of what the beauty salon would achieve straightaway, and this is probably why she has given you all full time hours. I think she should of started with one or two therapists and slowly built it from there rather than giving hope to 5 - 6...
Hi,
It all depends if you are a limited company or a sole trader.
You will need to account for VAT as you will turnover more than the current threshold.
Always best to speak to an accountant....they normally give you a free initial meeting.
Hope this helps : )
