Yes hun, I prep the nail, apply a thin layer of gel then cure as normal then stick a fibreglass piece into the tacky layer (over the breakage of course) and apply another coat of gel and cure. Apply another thin layer of gel if you think it needs, then wipe the sticky layer and file/buff the top...

Fibreglass is my lifesaver for repairs, a fellow nail tech introduced me to it and I have never looked back!! I just use it with my gel, buff it up then apply gel polish on top, it works a treat!! :)

I've been using NSI Attraction acrylic system for about 6 years now and the Balance gel system for about 18 months and find them fantastic, really easy to work with and just great!! Highly recommended!! :D

I was wondering if anyone could answer a simple question for me?? What top coat should I put over painted acrylics/gels when I have used just normal nail polish? I tried a gel top coat to try to make them last but it made the polish wrinkle......please help :sad:

Hi hun I too think this is cheeky, if she is not willing to pay for the nails then she doesn't get them. At the end of the day she couldn't walk into a salon and tell them she is skint so could she have them half price!! It's just rude! :-) Don't do it!! :-)

I tend to apply with nail glue and top coat with glaze n go and I never have any come off :-)

I totally agree with this and know how you feel.....I keep mine around the same prices because of all the people charging on £10 for full sets including loads of nail art! Its crazy how they can be making anything really, but hey ho :lol:
