    Anyone worked in Dubai?

Hi, I've just arrived to the UAE as well. I am planning to start up a salon business once more. I use Lycon and yes they have a distributor in Dubai. I don't know much about the beauty industry here but will be doing some research into it for sure now that I'm here. Good luck!

    Salon scent

I know what you mean! Love the smell of spas etc and would be interested in the answer! People always comment on how nice my (home) salon smells but tbh I can't smell anything lol. I don't burn or do anything, it's from my wax when its turned on (hint of coconut n vanilla) and all the pre n...

Product samples - how to best use them?

Hi All, I qualified in facials a little while back and I receive assorted product samples with each product order I do and was wandering on how best to utilise these? Do you give them to clients who are considering retail purchase or give them as a bonus or have them on shelf for trials? The...

    Forgot my client

Oh poor love! There's nothing more you could've done. You're only human, don't beat yourself up. I've done it, checked my diary, saw I was free and off I went to do food shopping! Got a call from my hubby to tell me client waiting at the door! I was mortified. Couldn't believe I could do...

    Blonde brow tinting

I use a light brown mixed with a little grey as well and leave on for 1-3min (i use Lycocil) and check. If not quite there either reapply if you've removed the lot or leave on longer until the right shade is achieved. X

    Waxing in this heat!

You can cool the hot wax quicker by folding up some paper towel into a nice little square/rectangle and have cold water (add ice if needed) in a little bowl. Dip the square into the cold water and squeeze out excess water so not too drippy and dab over the hot wax sections that you've applied. I...

    Lycon or Perron Rigot?

I'm also a Lycon girl and love it. I use the Lycotec hot wax that comes in pop n to trays so no smashing involved but as Laurasnowwhite said the block take only a min to smash! I haven't tried PR as its not available in Australia so I can't comment but by the sounds of it its a fab wax. Re...

Lycon Wax - How do you get it in the heater?

I do. I loosen/lift the lid a bit and (depending on how strong your microwave is) nuke it for about 2 mins so it makes for a better pouring consistency, then I pour the amount I need into the pot. When I'm nearing the end of a tub I nuke it then sit the whole tub over the scrape bar and use a...

Lycon Wax - How do you get it in the heater?

I use the Lycotec hot wax which comes in pop n go trays which are fab and easy to use. I still put the trays in the freezer to harden (I live in a humid climate) and then just simply pop them out as I need. But I've just ordered the Lycojet (due to curiosity) and found that the above method I...

Lycon Wax - How do you get it in the heater?

I put mine in the freezer for a bit so its super hard then, if you use the wax in the aluminium trays take it out of the tray, place the wax block in a zip lock bag or two bags, take it out side onto concrete and drop it! Voila it's broken up! Place however much you like into the heater then...

    XXX waxing

Unfortunately in Aus we don't get Berodin etc however I use and love Lycon Lycotec white hot and strip waxes! Love em and they are very flexible etc. Lately I've been hearing positive reviews about Adam & Eve waxes but haven't tried them. Like Cuba1984 says "if it ain't broke" :)

    Lycon Lycotech white wax cartridges?

Hi, I don't use Lycojet so I can't help but I do use Lycotec hot wax. I apply with the hair growth on the brow after using Lycotane cleanser and haven't had a problem. I still tweeze for a sharper finish but manage to get the majority of hair each time, especially the fine fluffy hair. I've...

    Lycon Lycotech white wax cartridges?

Hi I find the Lycotec hot wax is fab on the face, gets the finest of hairs. I have no need to consider a change in the type of wax I use as I'm really pleased with the results of this one :) Also re wax: let me clarify I don't double dip with hot wax either. I use a new wooden spat for...
