I have just had a message from a client who's hair I have done for years...she has had a reaction to her colour... I use igora royal 6.00 as her main colour with 9% as she is quite coarse with 50% + white hair.... Is there an alternative colour for allergies I could use? Has anyone used igora...

Thank you for your reply vividamnesia. I was hoping I could get away with the pre pig...but as her hair is so white thought it may have faded, but will take your advice and cut this step out. I was using 9% on the roots as this is what is recommended to use on white hair (grey) by schawarzkopf...

Yes £57 a year and salon gold is good also...FHA have negotiated with coversure so freelancers only have to skin test once a year if the client is having the same colour on a regular basis.

Thank you for your reply pancake..was looking at a 7.55 from a base of a 5 with 25% grey. I was going to use 1 part 7.00 to 2 parts 7.55, but thought maybe the 7.50 wold do the job as to much warmth is not important as long as its not flat and I will be highlighting over it..x

thank you adamlea87 I dont know if I can get the 6.88 in a demi but was going to look at all the colour houses. I was going to use a demi as thought it would take better with the underling bleach, but in your opinion would I be better to use a permanent with 3%?..x

Hi check your manufactures instructions but most colours covering white/grey need to be used with 6% or 9% peroxide..also if there was a lot of white hair you would have needed to mix a base colour i.e 7.0...x
