Thank you for posting this thread! I have been exchanging emails today with them and I'm really interested in what they offer. Thinking about the sunday mornings that they offer.
As I live in Northamptonshire it means a bit of travel will be involved but I just can't seem to find any other...
Hello :)
I haven't been online since last year due to unforeseen peesonal circumstances! I joined salon geek last year when I started my level 2 course for hairdressing. .
I'm back to ask some advice as I'm yet again looking to start over in the industry.
Anyone in the local area and...
You can answer your own question if you go back to colour basics, green counteracts red tones etc...
Also personally, I would just go with fine bleach foils after stripping. Semi toners can help after to help with unwanted warmth?

Luckily I already have a fair bit of experience with perming as I did nvq level 1 and I had the devils equivilent as my tutor who would be watching over my shoulder! Lol..
I agree with the above post, fine sections & wiggle accordingly!
You will get it, its just fiddley at first

Hiya
Just thought I'd let you know that it would be near enough impossible with home dye.. The chances are your hair would need prelightening first and as most purple hair dyes have a low depth it would probably end with purple roots and an uneven black/very dark purple tone through out. I'm...
I feel your pain! The same thing happened to me in 2010...
I used clip ins when I needed the extra confidence, ie) if I was going out etc..
But there is really nothing that can bring back the hair to 100% health once its been that damaged by chemicals.. Just be really patient, I know its...
I haven't, but I too am looking for a course and came across this site but didn't think it looked legit?
I might be wrong but think I will go with suggestions from fellow geeks as atleast then I know whoever I choose is a reputable training provider regardless of price :-)

Thank you :)
This has really helped a lot. I really wanted to complete a good course and just go for it but as I'm sure you know it's difficult to take the plunge and actually put everything in to it.
Things have been hard for my family and me over the past year and I know I need to do...
Hi everyone
I'm thinking long and hard about completing a hair extension course with savings.
Firstly, is it worth it? If I want to attend a high quality course it's going to cost a fair bit, I know I will thoroughly enjoy it and will enjoy working with clients having extensions afterwards and...
Oooh :) thanks for all your replies!
I really like the look of the Nokia lumina 920.. But I read that it's locked to certain networks & I want to stay with Vodafone so I'm a bit gutted about that but hey ho!
Think I will go and look at a Samsung galaxy at some point soon :)

Thank you, that's why I wanted an apprenticeship in the first place to be honest? but as I'm 21 it was a struggle as most employers won't get the funding..
I'm thinking they may have had a drop out and are looking through past applications? Lol
Thank you :)

I currently have the iPhone 4 and it's broke! Decided I'm not going for another iPhone as I'm not all that impressed by the iPhone 5..

Hiya,
As the title says really.. Im studying my level 2 hairdressing at college full time but I have received a call from a hairdressers that I applied to for an apprenticeship a while ago asking if I would still be interested and offered me an interview?
I explained that I was now at college...
I can't fault my college for teaching colour to be honest.
Our tutor has done her masters with wella and we have covered most of colour as a whole already? Definitely the bare basics of it all.
I also read some of the posts on here & think to myself- I'm only on my level 2 yet I have been...
I absolutely hated it! :(
Feel like I'll never be able to drive, even though my instructor was impressed that I hadn't forgotten how to drive from previous lessons?
I felt so sick all the way through aswell :/
