    Help, please: disheartened tech

I feel exactly the same about accepting responsibility if a refund is given and feel confident in my hygiene procedures, I also did a full consultation and had her fill the card out as I always do. She said she would come in on Friday to show me but I think perhaps she will try to get a refund...

    Help, please: disheartened tech

Thank you so much for your help, it definately does sound like an allergic reaction to me too although I have never had to deal with anything like this before. I did think that perhaps he should have taken swabs to determine what it is before issuing any medicines. The client is coming back to...

    Help, please: disheartened tech

I have been doing acrylic enhancements for many years with no problems until today. I applied a set of natural acrylics to a client on thursday who had no allergies or problems with acrylic enhancements although this is the first time she had been to me. Today I received a phone call that she...

    Stick on nails..help

I used to do these years ago when I first started training in a salon and we used to call them express nails. They were hugely popular and offer a cheaper and quicker alternative for clients. Hth's x

Bright turquiose gel colour needed - Gelish?

Oocha coocha Bing bang by Gelish is a bright turquoise, it has a glitter through it and I find if used alone it needs 3 or 4 layers to make it less transparent. It is gorgeous though and 1 of my most popular, hths x Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e using SalonGeek

Tips for filling other tech's acrylics?

Thank you I have been doing this but I can still see the difference. Aslong as I continue to make the clients aware of this , apart from offer them a glitter overlay, gelish or polish I guess there is not much else I can do. Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e using SalonGeek

Tips for filling other tech's acrylics?

Thank you, this is what I'm really having problems with! I don't know which brands have been used especially from the nail bars and I worry about putting my acrylic over goodness knows what chemicals. I also worry about the condition of their nails underneath as I know most of these places can...

I have recently opened a nail bar at a busy caravan holiday destination. I have been super busy but I am finding that alot of clients want infills which have been done by other techs or these discount nail bars. Has anybody got any tips as the clients never know which colour or brands have been...

    Is Gelish course worth doing?

I definately found the course worthwhile and did it about four weeks ago. I received my kit a couple of weeks before the course and obviously had a play around with it but there was so many things that I didn't do which obviously aid the longevity etc. Very helpful indeed and so much fun trying...

    Gelish soak off strange?

I soak them for 15 mins and if there is a glitter coat I soak for 20 and offer my clients a drink. Perhaps your trainer can help you out as mine is fab :) And like above they either slide off with wraps ar are just sitting on top.

    Gelish soak off strange?

I use the gelish soak off and when wrapping I wrap quite tightly and squeeze the wrap onto the nail as if moulding it onto the nail. I have only been trained in gelish for 4 weeks and have not had any problems so far. Hth's x Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e using SalonGeek

    Bamboo nails?

I have seen bamboo tips which seem thinner and are a more creamy colour. Usually used with natural or clear acrylic powder for natural looking extensions. Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e using SalonGeek

    Gel or acrylic?

I love working with acrylic, I have briefly tried gel but found it perhaps more messy than acrylic. I love the fact that you have endless design possibilities with fading, precision and the 3D nails that can be built are truely an art form. There are Acrylic design videos all over you tube which...

What colours would you like Gelish to create?

Chrome would be fab and I love Tourmaline violet so perhaps some colours with the larger glitters or shapes? Holographic would be fab too, I love the opi holographic colours :)

    Layering OPI Gelcolour and Shellac

Agreed it is slightly confusing! Although I am a Gelish user and personally would never have the need to use any other colours or brands as my clients luv it just the way it is! Hmmm....
