Ah thanks for your kind words. Don’t despair as there is always a way. I was hoping you might be near to me but unfortunately not as I’m in Bedford as I would have been happy to give you some tuition. Some colleges do condensed courses and rather than NVQ they do Diplomas so check out your local...
Hi there, I know how you feel. At the age of 40 I decided I wanted to do hairdressing and like you got swept along in a career in IT if all things. I made very good money in IT and far more than I have ever done in hairdressing so glad I didn’t do it straight from school. I applied straight from...
Since Wella Koleston changed to the new ME formula I am having terrible trouble with skin staining on clients and can’t shift it with the usual emulsifying and stain remover. Anyone else having this trouble and any recommendations on which product to use to get it off? Luckily no one has...
Great! Thanks. I used Wella one years ago and liked it but my wholesaler doesn’t stock it for some bizarre reason even though they stock most other wella products. Will have to get online I think
Wondered which Anti Oxy Conditioner everyone is using and looking for recommendations. I used to use Sallys Herbal Anti Oxy PH balancer and did for years but it was discontinued last year and I have used my last bottle. Tried their replacement which is their herbal complex conditioner and it’s...
She has very little grey, strands really so think this could be a good solution. If I add a bit of 9/0 then hopefully that will stop any grey going pink
Thanks so much for such a comprehensive breakdown of the tones. No she isn’t a strawberry copper at all. In fact a very non descript brown which happens to go a very nice blonde in the sun but very dull and muddy looking in the winter but obviously has undertones of gold as on lifting it with...
Yes your right it is a warm golden tone which she wants without it bring brassy which is why is was using /1 to try and neutralise the orange that is coming through. I did a test cutting with /3 and it just makes it more orange
I have a client who is a base 7 and wants her hair honey blonde. She used to have bleach with toner but it sends her hair way too white and the toner doesn’t last long so I changed her to Wella Koleston 9/1 with 9%. It seemed fine in the summer and a perfect colour as the sun seemed to lift it...
It would be interesting to know which hairspray is the most popular for using on hairup. I have used many and so far prefer the Indola 4+4. Which do you prefer?
I got mine sorted in the end. You need a size 5 allan key to adjust it. The resistance on the arm doesn't actually really work until you get it installed on the wall so you need to do that first. The allen key is poked up into the elbow of the arm and there is a little slot for the allen key...
I have just purchased a second hand Wella FuturA Wall Mounted Hood Dryer and having trouble installing it. Does anyone have any installation instructions manuals that they could email me please or even give me some pointers how to install it. The arm attaches to the wall but I cannot get the...
Yes, I have suggested that we do it in stages and just add loads of highlights to build it up but she has just got it in her head she wants a tint all over. Typical 17 year old who thinks anything is possible!! and she hates her natural colour and just wants rid of all traces of it...
Thank you! Thats what I am thinking too! She has very very long hair and its very fine so think bleach would leave it in very poor condition. She does not like having it cut regularly either which doesnt help.
