    Strip wax for intimate waxing

I personally prefer the non strip wax for intimate or sensitive areas and it does make a difference for a lot of clients. If you are the same and feel more comfortable using the non strip wax then I would continue as you want to make sure you offer your clients the best possible treatment and if...

    Lash tint

I think a lot changed through covid and a lot of brands had to change their policies accordingly. I m not sure if it helps but flirties recommends to patch test all new clients and those who have not been for an appointment for 6 months or longer which makes it a bit easier and more realistic x

Lash lifting qualified if you’ve done perming.”?

A lot of insurances class these as different courses so it might be your best option to contact your insurance to see if they will cover you for lash lifting with your perming certificate or whether you require a qualification for lash lifting in order to be covered x

    Lash Extension Brand

    Help getting started please! (Lashes)

You are doing the right thing by booking one course at a time so you can learn and practice that treatment before taking on the next one. It will also help with cash flow as your earnings from the first course/treatments will help pay towards the next treatment you are taking on. Lash lifting...

    How to patch test ?

Have a chat with your supplier as most sachets should be able to be used for a few days on clients and up to a week for patch testing so that you can minimise waste x

ROI - buying nail supplies from the UK

You should only be paying VAT once so maybe check with your seller as they should not charge you the UK vat if you are importing. We hear of a lot of salons who think they should not pay any tax at all but you the charges you should be paying are the tax (either UK or your countries rate), duty...

    Lash lift patch test

I agree with the others. A patch test should be undertaken to ensure the client is suitable for the treatment otherwise your insurance might be void. Most systems will be ok to use for the patch test and then seal the sachet for the next client so you don’t waste the remainder of the sachet x

Anyone else almost done with this industry? Thanks Covid

Its such worrying times for everyone and there is no denying that its going to take a while yet before things are allowed to get back to "normal". I know a lot of clients are trying themselves at DIY but I do think they will realise how hard it is and that treatments take a lot more than a...

    Online tutoring

I think you will find it easiest to go with a brand or training provider who is looking for trainers as that will give you the training platform and support you need without having to worry about your own courses, manuals and accreditation. It works best if you contact the brand you are using...

How do I take the leap with lashes?

Dont be too hard on yourself especially if you have just trained and the current situation is tricky enough as it is especially when you are still practicing. Rather than start another treatment I would persevere with lashes first and then once you feel confident in that treatment start looking...

    Online tutoring

You have the option of both - you can either join a company who will support you and allow you to train with their manuals under their existing accreditation OR if you prefer to run your own courses you will need to write your own manuals and get them accredited in order to teach. Both options...

    Best products to start with?

I agree with Noodle, there are so many different brands and all work slightly different. Every brand has its dedicated followers so there is no wrong or right but what suits you and your technique best.
