I'd definitely say you need to use heat. I would either barrel curl and pin the sections to the head as you go along, allowing them to cool. Leave them to cool completely and dust with a little hairspray then when ready to style un-pin them all. Or you could use heated rollers in the same way...

Well your colour advice was spot on! Used KP on roots with 6% and CT with 1.9% on the ends and it was lovely! Really nice and vibrant again! Was going to take pics but totally forgot! Just going to wait and see how it fades now :) Thanks for the advice tsparker78 :)

I only use 6% because its koleston but am thinking could I use pastel toner on the ends (1:1 ratio)? What would you recommend to pre-pig with?
