    Free edge advice

Thanks ladies! I did wonder about the bacterial issue. I’ve just been seeing nail techs using this method on their Instagram videos x

    Free edge advice

If I get lifting/separation between the natural nail free edge and the gel free edge, I turn the hand over, and use a drill to file the lifted natural nail away from the gel overlay. However, after the lifting has been removed, the natural nail starts to lift again the next day. Should I be...

Hard gel suitable for thin, bendy nails?

Hi all, I have very thin and bendy nails. I was wondering which hard soak off or file off clear builder gel you'd recommend? IBD lifts on me, and I have problems with cnd brisa sculpting gel if I don't oil them at least twice a day, or if I file the free edge in between infills

NVQ qualified, but no e-file certification

I’ve looked on SalonGold for insurance, it doesn’t seem to have any fine details as to what I’d be covered for. Just nail enhancements, cutting and shaping nails, plus paraffin wax

Gel extensions lifting after only a few days, help!

Hi ladies, I found that buffing the nail plate with a white buffing block, doesn’t help adhere the primer and gel to the nails. I now use a coarse file to lightly scratch the surface. Now I have no problems. You can find my original post about this, up at the top of the forum, as I’ve just...

NVQ qualified, but no e-file certification

Hi, I passed my NVQ in nail enhancements back when I was a teenager. We didn’t get certified in the E file. However, I do already use the Efile on my own nails. Do I need to be certified in order to use one on public? Or will insurance cover this?

Gel nails, lifting, coarse nail file?

I trained as a technician when I was a teenager, and we used IBD gel. My nails would lift within a day or 2. Fast forward many years later, and using gel polish, CND , Candy Coat and BlueSky lift on me. So I decided to use CND bridal Lite, which lifted, then used CND sculpting builder gel -...

Gel lifting only at free edge

Do any of you circular motion rub the first layer of gel onto the nail? Also, do you apply in layers, or just work the bead of gel straight onto the nail? I was taught to work the bead straight into the nail plate (with ibd)

Gel lifting only at free edge

Yes I'm going to do two of my fingers again today that have lifted at the free edge corner. I'm just sick of having to do it

Gel lifting only at free edge

It's strange because I've also tried applying one thin layer (brushed on) of sculpting gel and it's still lifting at the corners of the free edge. I feel like giving up!

Gel lifting only at free edge

Hi, Thanks for your reply! I think that would probably take me too long, and to be honest, I don't really want any length to my nails
