Are wet manicures bad for the natural nail?

Hi Geeks A fellow tech on one of my facebook pages has come out with the following : 'I have a question. Why do people still do water manicures and why are they even taught in schools still? They are not good for the natural nail and even worse if you are applying a gel polish.' Now, I know...

    Ce chic go fast nails

Here Izzidoll. http://cechic.co.uk/#/shop/4561530036/Go-Fast-System/1301797 Not sure what the fuss is about though - this method has been around for years. And looking at the shop it's quite pricey.

    Starter kits?

Hi ya, I'm going to sound like a real meanie here, but i'm only thinking about your best interest when i say what i'm about to say. The Edge is a mediocre product. Having said that you are about to invest nearly £60 because you're 'bored'. But what do you know about these products -...

What's the best nail system to train with?

NSI is a great brand and plenty of techs have chosen it, me being one of them. This is always a question that can leave the mind buzzing and the poster none the wiser as there are so many products with loads of techs endorsing each one. The best thing you can do is research what...

Can't keep nails on my sister!

On the same note, start charging her. She'll probably take more care if she's investing something too!

    Portable manicure equipment

What pine/rosewood one? got one of those too. I like lots of room to work and kept knocking stuff off. I'm just difficult to please! The best thing for me is an ironing board, but i don't think i'd get away with that!!

    Not sure what to do

Hi I use NSI and it will take off my polish if i'm not careful. it's just the chemicals in it and i'm pretty sure its normal with most cleanse products. the way round it is to use plastic backed pads like grahams handsdown pads. hth's :)

    Pedikur??

I have bought this myself and have used it on my mum, whom has really bad dry skin on her feet and i would say is an extreme case! :) It worked very well, although the scraping bit did make my stomach turn but then that was probably more to do with my mums feet!! I wouldn't use it as part of a...

    Pre blended tips?

Hi ya, and welcome to the site. Are the tips you talking about purchased pre blended? When you use a full/half well tip you blend them in and thin them out as part of the prep so i'm curious to know what the difference between them is.

Is this right? :( Acrylic nails

That's exactly what the game is and i think your own instinct is telling you that. If only two have come off tell her you can replace at her maintenance appointment. As for the other one, nails don't fall off and if there was genuine service breakdown i'm sure she would have been in touch PDQ...

    How to promote gel polish??

One of the best ways is to wear it yourself and then to rave about it whilst you've got your client in front of you.

Nail polish remover for removing enhancements?

Tip remover is acetone. It may have things added to it and in some cases is more expensive than pure acetone, but don't be fooled!
