How would you achieve this colour?

I use Goldwell and I've found a great formula for a cool beige, it's 1/4 7mb 3/4 11v with either 9 or 12% depending on texture. I find the green smothers the undertones and you get a really muted result, guys hair goes quite gingery. Did a colour with that formula and some freehand lightener...

    Redken to Goldwell formulation?

May just be available in Australia, Goldwell salons should have it available?

Client wants her hair dyed grey to grow out roots?

"Just bleach it out", if only it was that easy. So many contributing factors as to why hair cannot be lightened to a platinum in a single session from a coloured brunette that non hairdressing folk don't understand.

    Redken to Goldwell formulation?

    1/2 5mb 1/2 3vv 1/2 4na 1/2 4v There is a 4bv in nectaya, their ammonia free colour.

Blue or white bleach, what's the difference?

It's only coloured blue to mask the exposed undertone to be more visually appealing to the customer if they catch a glimpse of it. Has nothing really to with colour outcome. Typically these days the white bleach is to differentiate between regular lightener and ammonia free gentler options

    Strange client requests

"What will my hair look like when the wind blows?" "Is there any way to cut longer?" I've also had a woman bring a tuft of hair she cut from a rabbit to her appointment because that's the hair colour she wanted. Aussies are an odd bunch!

    Clients turning up late!

Just tell her her if she chooses to come late that's her problem, she allocated 45minutes of your time no more, no less and she can do as she pleases with that time and the 45 minutes starts at 12, not 12.15 (or whenever she rocks up). Be firm, if your sweep it under the rug she will keep doing...

Lilac toner washing out instantly, help!

Try the Goldwell elumen colour range. They have a vv@all which is an electric violet but you can intermix it with one of the 10 levels like sb/sv@10 or clear to pastelise it out. They are super long lasting and also easy to remove. Check it out, definitely my go to for pastel shades :)

    Permanent straightening

No chemical straightening product is recommended for heavily bleached hair however this one you can quite happily use on coloured and highlighted hair, but any signs of chemical damage I wouldn't do it.
