    .

at my spa, we allow 3 no shows before we request a credit card ##. or if the client is new, and the service is an hour or more, we get a credit ## also. if a client no shows, their card is charged for 1/2 the service fee and the money goes to one of our local charities we work with...oh yeah, we...

    READ ME!

beautifulnails03...i think either would be an asset if there is a demand for the "sun-kissed" look in your area. the spa i work at doesn't have tanning, but there are plenty of tanning salons around, and only ONE of them has finally gotten the spray-tan thingie. it's a pretty new place so it...

    Solar Oil

we love using solar oil in our spa not only b/c of it's great performance, but also b/c it smells so fabulous! it's mostly jojoba oil which is known to have extreme healing qualities. i have a client with nail beds that were so damaged, we HAD to put wraps on her nails to keep them...

I met an American WASP nail tech who works in discount shop

one of the questions my associates and i always ponder is, do all of the workers in these NSS actually ALL have licenses? and what about the use of MMA? i'm sure not all of these places defy regulations, but every now and then......so down the road, is it worth a new 2003 automobile to be put...

    A big tip

after reading all these posts, and not being sure about the monatary exchange rate, it seems that we here in the u.s. get tipped more. i don't mean this in any offense, :!: but it's customary for clients to tip us. i work in a day spa, our mani's are $20, pedis are $43-48, and sets are $55. so...

    Fabric Problem

christine.. when i use fabrics, i first apply a layer of resin to the natural nails and spray. then if using a stress strip, i do that next, then another layer of resin. i don't spray b/c the fabric seems to soak it up and by time i'm done with all 10 nails, it pretty well set. next, i apply...

    microbond??

no, it's not the fabric i'm worried about. i work with someone who works strictly acrylic. i myself prefer a fabric because i feel there is NO damage. however, it's this new opi microbond gel that i'm worried about. she's trying to convince our boss to make me switch to it instead of fabric, and...

    microbond??

i'm just really not too fond of this new system. i work in a day spa/salon and it just seems like it's too complicated and damaging for our clients' intrest. plus, when finished, it feels very much like acrylic (too solid). is air able to pass through? i have a pushy co-worker, and basically...
