A little something to bring you some festive cheer!

So, in the first lockdown, my colleagues and I put together a parody of the Frozen song 'Let it go'. We got so fed up of clients asking us what to do with their hair so we created 'Let it grow'! So many people enjoyed it and it got shared all over the world. I noticed this time, lockdown has had...

Ultra violet blue over lightened hair

One of my favourite clients has presented me with these photos I am stumped! I used Schwarzkopf colours, however, even with blondme I don't think I'm going to get these results. Have had a look at Guy tang's colours but I dont think any of his will get that result either! Any suggestions?

    Platinum toner Schwartzkopf-help!

Sorry, I didn't make it clear, I normally bleach up in back to back foils to almost white (she is a base 7 with very strong hair). The colours I listed above I have used as toners on bleached hair but not been happy with the tone, either too blue or khaki.

    Platinum toner Schwartzkopf-help!

So, I'm new to schwartzkopf. I want to achieve the blonde in the pic. I usually use equal parts 10a and 10p in matrix. I've used 9.5-1 and blondeme ice on 2 different occasions not happy with those. Also tried 10.12 but it came up a bit khaki. I will be doing back to back bleach slices, full...

Thank you all, will defo look into all your suggestions, especially acupuncture. I've heard a rumour you can get it on the nhs....I can try at least! I'm trying to build my core strength to support the muscles but any exercise and I end up in agony (it's not an excuse, I'm frustrated as an...

    Serious back pain, anyone suffer?

Neck, shoulders but mostly upper back. It starts with the first client of the day, aching then gets worse and worse until I can barely raise my arms, feels like hit knives in my shoulder blades and am in tears. I go to physio and am on painkillers daily. Physio said I should give up...

K, so I've been in the business for years yet every time I decided on a colour change for myself I freak out, my brain goes blank and I can't make a colour choice. So I thought you lot could do it for me!! So this is what I have now... And this is what I would like..... I will be using Wella and...

    Wella to Matrix help!

Wow, Thankyou all SO much for your replies! I think I should be ok. But for my trade test I'm doing the MANAGERS hair!! She's got a base of a 6 which is currently tint so I'll have to use bleach. I'll use 3% as her hair is already right royally ****ed! Lol. So I need to be gentle with it. I'm...

    Wella to Matrix help!

Oh my gosh, I've been using Wella colour for nigh on 17 years now and I have a trade test on Thursday with matrix. I don't know where to start. I've used clynol and l'oreal before but these matrix numbers may as well be in Chinese! Also, I've not heard good things about the colour...

Work in salon or self employed? Moving to new area

What's your opinion? I'm sick of working my arse off for nothing and no appreciation. Plus I seem to be victimised for having kids and insisting on working part time. I'm hoping to move to Bedfordshire in August, I can't take my clientele with me as its too far so I'll be starting from scratch...

    Live colours

Do a colour test first!! Snip a couple of bits out and try one with bleach and one with colour remover. Live colours are a bitch because the chemical make up is different to normal tints and the colour molecules are huge, destroying the condition and making it almost impossible to remove. The...
