    Not sure what to charge?

Thanks everyone. Days on and I'm still mad. I won't be put off.. he's found me on gumtree and seen I done male waxing (chest, back etc) and thought he'd ask I suppose.. The most disrespectful thing about it all is my partner was sitting downstairs with my dogs and it was as though it was fine to...

    Not sure what to charge?

Just thought I'd say that KrissKross was right. He was a total dodgy client. He wanted his *privates* massaged aswell as body massaged. I rather bluntly told him that I would not and do not do anything like that. He told me he normally gets that at his therapist down in london.. yeah..no. So I...

    Not sure what to charge?

Thank you for the replies. It's really helpful Well the client normally gets intimate waxing done however because I am not yet trained in intimate waxing he was asking for a trim. I have my partner in the house so he'll only be downstairs. He doesn't sound like a dodgy client I think he's...

    Not sure what to charge?

Hi, I'm not even sure I'm posting in the right place but I'm looking for help how to cost myself appropriately. Recently qualified in waxing and I'm qualified in massage. I have a male client looking for full body message plus a trim of the intimate area. I have a price list set for male...

    Satin Smooth, what settings?

Thanks for your reply.I was planning to just empty out some wax into the steel inner pot rather than trying to do it another way. So would it be the same sort of procedure then? x

    Satin Smooth, what settings?

Okay so I went ahead and purchased Satin smooth waxing kit. I was torn between that and the hive one but I felt this was more in my price range. Anyway, upon reading the manual it says when using warm wax to put the heating tempreture to 10 then one its melted (roughly half an hour) to place...

Waxing kits to start up with?

Revisting this since my training is all done. I want to practise, practise, practise but I also don't want to buy a wax that wont be as good. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. In regards to my trainer suggesting something - I wasn't actually referred to anything. I was told a place...

Waxing kits to start up with?

I actually have an overstock of spatulas weirdly enough lol. I mostly use them for decanting facial products and cuticle remover etc from their tubs. So I'm not too worried about them. I am one of these people actually who hunt for things online but Jack Dunn's links are super helpful. Talking...

Waxing kits to start up with?

Hi Kim. Thanks for replying to my thread! I'm sure I'll be asking lots of questions but I always like to prepare myself in advance. Once I get reccomendations I'm sure I'll do a fair bit of asking questions on what people think of the brands. I've already been looking into some of the wax...

Waxing kits to start up with?

Hi, thanks for the link that's so useful! I just like to be prepared and sometimes I find that other therapist have found something or reccomend something that training courses might not. I also want to be able to go out this weekend and get all set up and practising. So it's mostly impatience...

Waxing kits to start up with?

Hi all. I am training in waxing on thursday, following it up with sugaring and some kim lawless waxing hopefully.. It's a basic waxing course but I am hoping to purchase a kit for my room at home. I've been having a look and not sure where to start. There is so many companies and so many offer...

Help, itchy scalp - allergy to conditioner?

It has hardly been itchy at all today. Took one anti histamine this morning and been fine since. Clearly ive learned my lesson. I'm heading into sallys to pick up a few things. I normally use OSMO colour conditioner and a sulphate free conditioner but i had ran out with no way to get there due...

Help, itchy scalp - allergy to conditioner?

I'm feeling considerably better. Took your advice and took anti histamines last night and I've took one today so not had any itching. I think VO5 is too scented as generally anything I use doesn't have a smell (generally use some brand in Sally's both shampoo and conditioner which is for...

Loyalty schemes, what to offer and when?

That sounds good. My prices are relatively cheap just now due to being so new. I was thinking after 5 20% off a treatment or sone thing. Just wanted to see what everyone offered :)

Loyalty schemes, what to offer and when?

Basically what the title says. What do you offer for return customers? How much do you offer and when? I've only started in my new home and had a discount offer running which now only some people seem interested in having so I am wanting to encourage repeat custom. Any help is greatly appreciated :)

    Waxing course + Ila

I have trained with them before. It's honestly a toss up between them and the Scottish therapy school. There is a place in Hamilton (that's close to me) which are running a deal on a course atm for £90 odds but the issue with that is that im worried it'll be low in training standards etc...
