    Nail stamping

It is all about the polish you use and how quickly you work! I am in the U.S. and we have a store here called five below (a store where everything is $5 or less). They sell black and white polishes that are perfect for stamping (at 3 for $5!). As far as stamping with colors, anything very...

    Gel polish manicure and pedicure

I do the soak after! My clients have come to like this better anyways, they get to end with the nice relaxing massage:).

    Apres-X

I have been using it for a month now and I love it! I have no issues soaking them off in 15 minutes when I use warmed acetone. I have had no issues with lifting or breaks, and my clients have been wearing them for 3-4 weeks. I also love how light and thin they are!

What is your favorite nail "hack"?

Do you have a tip or trick that you swear by? I love sharing and trading tips and tricks with fellow nail techs! One of my "nail hacks" is wiping the back of nail foil sheets with acetone before using them! It makes the foil stick to the tacky layer on gel polish without foil glue!! Let's help...

Best seating arrangement for doing client’s toe nails?

My husband just built me this platform that raises my client up several inches so I don't have to bend over so far! I still have to paint it though!

    Foils with gel polish

I wipe the back of the foil quickly with acetone. It comes off much easier that way!

I am in the U.S. and I buy most of my products for marlobeauty.com or premiernailsource.com

    Dipping powder?

I do really like Kiara Sky, but I have also used Color clubs Serendipity and ProDip dipping powders. I will say that ProDip is the most affordable! I get them for about $5.50 thru my supplier! Large containers and pretty colors :)

    Dipping powder help!

I use Kiara Sky dipping powder, as well as some other brands. I will try and answer what I can with my experience. To avoid the product from becoming too thick, I am careful to apply very thin layers of the base, and I only do one nail at a time. I usually do one coat 2/3 of the nail, 2 color...

    Dipping powder

I am in the U.S. and didn't need a course. In fact, non professionals are able to order Kiara Sky brand.

    Dipping powder?

In my experience, you can use regular colored acrylic, but I would stick to dipping powders for light colors or clear, only because it will look grainy on the nail. The darker colors or glitters hide the grainy look from regular powders

    Gelish Polygel

I have been using Polygel since August, and I love it. I will say it took me some time to get used to it, and I learned that if you use too much of the slip solution, the nail can seem weak or lift easier. I have learned from other techs some tricks to making it last longer! Use as little slip...
