Why has Shellac started chipping on long standing client?

Hi I’m been searching for a solution to offer my client and I came across this old post with similar problems Would anyone know if IBX provides increased adhesion? I’m just clutching at straws here but I’m thinking that if IBX forms a strengthening sheild in the upper layers of the nail plate...

    Blurred vision

Yes could be. I’ve contacted her and she’s agreed to have it checked out. Online research suggests it could be nerve damage located just below the ear? Damage not caused by a facial of course but massage could be aggravating it resulting in blurred vision

    Blurred vision

One of my clients is getting blurred vision after her facial which includes a massage. Next time I will avoid the eye area but I’d like to know what might be causing it. Does anyone know?

Are soak off gels being phased out?

I've looked into that product tonight and I was interested until I read the recommendation to cure each nail separately when building over tips!

Are soak off gels being phased out?

Just wanted people's opinions on this With CND Brisa Lite being discontinued and now I've noticed IBD 'soak off' builder/structure gel no longer in their product range either; I'm wondering if this is the start of a trend to favour buff off hard gels and see all soak off soft gels disappear...

Do you know what this is?

Thanks Pure, Yes she had a set removed and reapplied a fortnight ago. She had no spots before or after removal last time and because the overlays were left clear (no colour gel polish on top) it was obvious the spots weren't there before removal this time. Do you think the nourishing remover...

Do you know what this is?

I don't know if this info will help but most of the spots are perfect circles.

Do you know what this is?

Hi Pure If I hadn't posted the picture my self I'd probably have thought the same but the spots were already there before I'd even attempted to wipe away excess product. I massaged the wrap slightly, slid the wrap off and there where the spots! I use Magis wraps btw and I do sometimes use an...

Do you know what this is?

Hi Fluffy The client didn't have tips hun just natural nail overlays applied by me. She's had them removed and reapplied once before and prior to that gel polish on a fortnightly basis with no problems. I have to say she's not the best at caring for her nails despite my best efforts to educate...

Do you know what this is?

My client came in today to have her nno's removed and reapplied so I wrapped them to soak off as per usual but when unwrapping the last two (RH ring & little fingernails) I found these white spots on the nail surface. These white spots definitely weren't there before wrapping. The only thing I...

CND Nourishing Remover for regular clients

I currently use D.Solve to remove Shellac but recently a few clients have complained about a burning/tingling sensation on one or two finger pads. I'm considering switching to Nourishing Remover but because it contains oils but I'm worried it will affect the wearability of the reapplied Shellac...

Paraffin wax in the bag - how's it done?

Hi Rebecca It's the container (plastic jug) I was using to support my protective bag while swishing the wax around that was too small/short. The Wax Master paraffin bath is big enough to dip your whole foot in! but if you read the manual is says it's not suitable for the dip technique. I'm...

Paraffin wax in the bag - how's it done?

Thanks Attitude My wax is far to hot in its liquid state to apply directly to hands/feet. Even when it's started to solidify it still holds a lot of heat but it's comfortable. Swishing the hot liquid wax around the inside of the bag cools and solidifies it quickly and forms a 360 degree layer...

    Varnish removal prior to appointment?

I agree with the others, its part of the service. It would be like you going out for dinner but the chef expecting you to cook your own meal Lol that made me giggle x

Paraffin wax in the bag - how's it done?

Thanks Carly x I'm using the Wax Master bath and their wax but there doesn't seem to be a point where the wax is fluid enough to brush on and cool enough at the same time. The bath clearly states you can't use the dipping method (had I have known I wouldn't have purchased) The bag method sounds...

    Recommendations for a swimming instructor?

Yeah your right I don't want to come across as needy. If she does have success I'll ask her how many hours after giving a class was the polish applied because I know before both her morning appointments with me she wouldn't have come out of the pool till late the previous evening.
