This is terrible we all train hard and it's not on people can do this I have spent so much on training and equipment materials for people to get away with it there must be some silly people who think they can get a professional to do nails or any treatment that cheap x

sure if they are happy with them, who's to judge. those latino type duck nails are rotten in my opinion but obviously nobody who gets them done gives a toss what i think. they love them...so there you go. different strokes for different folks.

There's a girl who only knows how to put tips on and acrylic charges £12.50 a set an says she's good but my friend went to her to see what she was like and when she had then done they looked ok but she went to her work(in a pub) and 2 nails came off when pulling a pint, I think it shocking how she can do nails for so little and say she's good at them, my other friend went to get them done aswell and when she arrived she was laid on the sofa hung over saying she was too tired and still off her head on drugs, so mate told her she was going to come to me and ye girl begged her she needed the money but recommended her friend to do them for her , so my friend went to the other lass and she wasn't even qualified bought a kit off eBay and didn't last her 10 mins from when she got out of the house and into the car and started car up and 2 pinged off. I was shocked when both my friends came to me and told me and said I should of seen the state of them. I'll stop talking now just thought I would share it x

There are two in my area doing nails very cheap at £15 and they look dreadfull more tip then there is nail bed, both claim to be fully booked for weeks but are always putting up ads daily on certain sites x

While talking she mentioned that London has a task force who specialise in investigating cheap nail bars as they are aware they are used for money laundering and drugs. (if thats the case they dont care what they charge for nails).

I charge £33 for a full set of nails, I have been at £25, now £33, my product is far better my smile lines are much better , the products I use are excellent. I do have a lot of local competitors but I 'm still busy. I do worry I'm too expensive but I can't go back now. Am I right or wrong? I do pride myself on 17yr experience and quality of product. It does worry my about these Cheap shops opening around me. At the moment I'm still ok.

There's a lot of untrained people in my area popping up charging a tiny amount for AWFUL L&P.
Admittedly at the mo im doing party nails (cheapy white tip and salon services gel) for £15 alongside my calgel but I do not guarantee them and have only a small amount of clients for ten

I'm not on the industry but felt I had to add to this after seeing a page on Facebook. This girl was classing herself as a trainee and charging £5 for 'tip and dip' acrylic nails full set and 20p for nail art and gems I presumed this was just to practice and over costs but she actually put on her status she wasn't training in nails but I something completely unrelated. This was just a young girl taking a chance but had hundreds of likes and people asking her for appointments. Awful
