What wax do you use luccybabes at the moment?

Berins do a nice warm wax to be used with strips that is ideal if you are just starting out as it does not set up on the skin like some waxes can do so gives you longer to work hth

The standard Hive 1000wt heaters can heat any depilatory wax, strip or non strip, you just have to know what temperature to heat to and know how to test before application, but this is standard stuff taught in your initial wax training.

What did you use in your training? Most people when starting out often go with what they feel comfortable with and as they get more confident start experimenting with different waxes. As you are just starting out I would guess that you are used to the standard honey or cream strip wax and the pot you mention will be fine for heating that up in.

if you are new to waxing then personally i would go for forest floor wax which is very competetively priced and a excellent strip wax for beginners.

you dont have to go for the most expensive product on the market ultimately it will be your technique that will give you the edge on your competitors.

there are lots of well known waxes out there and many not so well known, some good some bad. i would wait and see what you will be using on your course as some colleges do use some good strip waxes.

good luck!!!!

Good choice !

I have 3 of these as i alternate between strip and non strip wax.

Personally i've tried a fair few brands of wax, most of the ones sallys do and ellisons etc. To me a wax was a wax....HOWEVER, once i'd been 'introduced' to the waxes at the higher end of the market ie Berins and Perron Rigot there was just no comparison:green:.......and NO turning back!

YES dearer but gosh you get what you pay for.

The other day i was out of my usual brands strip wax and i had to use a pot of some 'regular' sallys' creme wax cant remember the brand - god it was awful.:irked:

It was like being used to driving a bentley and having to get back into a robin reliant.

I like the waxes that give me the best results, my clients love and repeat book, and make my job easy. If they are at the 'higher end of the market' price wise i'll just have to allow for that:green:

i totally agree with you amber however for someone that is just getting into waxing using a higher end product may not be cost effective for them especially if they have no product training with the company.

when you start waxing you tend to use way to much and have to get to grips with technique and application and do use more then someone that is already qualified and using it day in day out. therefore for someone just getting into waxing this is a expensive way of doing it. unless you do you initial training with berins or perron rigot !!!

i would always recomend a student to use a good product and there are many out there that you can not purchase from the local wholesaler that will serve this purpose and then once qualified then you can move on to the rolls royce and bentlys of the waxing world !!!

just starting out i would recommend forest floor or gigi or clean n easy(not the roller one) the once proficent and using wax effectivley i would move on up to Harley which is the same as lycon just better cheaper and not brittle like lycon then there is PR and Berins but if you want the creme de la creme of waxes available in todays market then you would have to go with Caron it is absolutley brilliant although you do need training with this wax as it is not used in the conventional way and the caron wax also enable one to do things especially in intimate waxing that you quite possible could not do with anyother wax

You can use any brand and type of wax you like. xxx
