Hiya

I wanted some gift vouchers - where is the best place?

For clients bdays - do you send out a card and gift voucher/give any money off treatment etc?

thanks xxxxxxx

Various gift vouchers are available at beauty wholesalers, but I know that lots of geeks on here make and design their own.

I'd suggest you print them off at home yourself. You're not going to need loads and loads of them- (you wish!) and this lets you brand them up yourself.

Either have a go at designing them yourself or get a pro to do it for you so you can just do a print-run whenever you need some more.

My salon (and the people I design them for) use cheapo photocard from Staples etc. and you can get a really good result.

Yes, I print my own from a template I found on the internet. Can't remember what the site was now, sorry. It means you can print your own terms and conditions on the back and also put your logo on so it's completely customised but without having to order hundreds of them up front. Once set up you just need some nice heavy paper and matching envelopes. If I know it's for an existing client I'll put a lovely ribbon round the envelope too and that always goes down well with the purchaser.

WRT b/days: The salon I used to work in sent out cards at the end of the previous month to all clients whose b/d fell the next month. They offered 10% discount on as many treatments as the client wanted in their b/d month. It worked really well and of those who used it many squeezed in an extra appt before the month was up. I'm going to start doing the same just as soon as I can get to grips with a database...

Kx

I never get discount from anyone for my Bday, so no, I wouldn't do this for clients.
Plus, imagine when you build up your client list, your clients will be expecting this treat every bday, and it would get way too much, your head would be fried thinking about birthday dates lol x

We always send out client birthday cards that contain a discount voucher, but within a limited time.

It is our way of letting them know that their loyal custom is valued and they feel we care enough to do it.

I remember fairly recently (in the last couple of months), someone was accidentally missed off the birthday card run and because their friend had received one a week earlier they asked why they hadn't. It was all sorted out happily.

I designed my own and get them printed at vistaprint, 10 at a time. Which is free and just pay a few £ for p&p

they also do gift vouchers on the site, so u dont need to design ur own

I had my designed by Carl at Verve and they are fab!!! Just printed them on some nice glossy paper-simples!! Price is v. reasonable too hun xx

Oh and in response to your question, yep I think it's a good idea to send out gift vouchers for b'days. Have always done this and generally the reeponse is really good. Just remember to put an expiry date on it, otherwise you'll get people trying to use them 12months down the line:D

Like someone else said, make sure you keep it consistent if you're going to do this, and make sure that EVRYBODY recieves one, otherwise you'll have some peeved clients. HTH:hug:

Thanks everyone xxx
