Lovely thread idea Lelli. I think I am just thankful in general as when the going gets tough, there is always someone worse off than you.

For example, I know my mom has been through hell recently with her op and recovery, but the 2 other ladies in her ward who had the same op are not recovering well unfortunately.

I am also often thinking about Maddie McCann and the unimaginable pain her parents are going through daily. Then I look at my 2 gorgeous girls and thank the Lord for their health and wellbeing.

May I just add, that after living in the USA for a while, I really love the idea of 'Thanksgiving'. In my experience I found it a time when families get together to think about what is really important and special and to thank God for that. No expensive gifts or choccy eggs, just family time.

5 Things I am thankful for:

  • My 2 boys & family
  • My future husband
  • My faith
  • That althought I may not have everything I WANT, God makes sure I have all that I NEED.
  • My geeky family...Don't know what I would do without you guys!!
...and one last thing which I know will make 6, but I am thankful that no matter how bad things are, they are NEVER as bad as they could be!!

Here's mine for the last week :)

I am thankful for
1. The fact that I am now well after a shaky spell
2. I have been married 18 years today and am still in love
3. I have the kindest Mother ever
4. All my family are happy and well
5. I have lovely friends whom I cherish

Here are mine;

My husband and children
My health and happiness
My wonderful friends who have stood by me through the good and bad times
Red Wine to which I am most grateful after a stressful day
And for the people on here who are guiding me on a daily basis

To be honest I could go on a little longer :)
