I have just bought this Ezflow brush and it came with a cap. Any 508 users out there that recommend using this brush cap or should i store the normal way rolled up in paper towel?

Ive never heard of wrapping in paper towel....doesn't that dry it out????

If you mean the clear plastic cap that it comes in...that needs to be thrown in the bin as the liquid could melt it. If its the metal one thats fine, you can also buy really nice brush lids from Ezflow...thats what I use..I like my brushes to have a lid to prevent dust and any other contaminants, I wouldnt wrap my brushes in paper towel either.

All my 508 brushes have come with a silver cap with a hole at the top.
If this is the cap you've got use it and store your brush bristle down.

The 508 comes with a metal cap with a small hole in the top it is there to keep the brush looking good so yep use it :)

The 508 is a lovely brush and yep store it in its cap :)

Yep sorry i meant to say the metal cap lid with the lil hole at the top. :) I didn't think you should store a brush vertical?

OMG No one ever heard of rolling your brush in a sheet of kitchen roll? This was what i was shown to do on my cnd course, clean your brush, train it back to shape, then wrap neatly in kitchen roll and store alone or in the black brush case. It keeps it clean from dust. Should i not be doing this???
I know im not the only one who does it this way has i know a girl who is a master cnd tech and she stores the same.

At the moment i have put the metal lid on, wrapped in kitchen roll (just habbit now plus stops it rolling around in black brush case) and layed to rest in my black coffin box layed horizontal.

Storing the brush verticaly helps to prevent any contamination of your brush from any left over monomer.

Hmm, I've always thought it was to be stored horizontally too.

Feel like I'm loosing my marbles now:lol:...I'm sure I was told to store my brush vertically, bristle down....god I hope I'm not going senile allready

LOL, poor you del. You can join my senile club, I've been there for a while I think...or maybe not.....can't remember.....what was that you said? LOL

I think I was advised to keep in a case as mine didnt have a lid.....

Maybe i was just being sold a case......

Dont remember anyone saying anything about wrapping it in kitchen towel or similar....I would have thought that would dry it out .......

Anyhow I have a retractable brush so its always got its lid on xx

You are right Del, it is stored vertically, bristle side down. You haven't lost your marbles just yet!:lol:

PHEW!
Thanks Fi

Thanks for the advise ladies i will now store my brush bristles down just need to get a little pot for it.
I wont be storing my brush in kitchen towel anymore either thats prob the reason why i have had 2 brushes get contaminated too quickly in the past. xx
